Taipan Huma reg acting up?

Gun design would help. How long has the reg been sitting around?

Have ppl been messing with it?

My experience with all regs, if they shut the air off, they are set to tight or something failed
Was used 6 months ago after sitting in plastic bag for 6 months. Only the war dept supervisor hanging round. Had the huma
4 years as back up.

First thought is that the spacer isn't right. I've heard of guys getting spacer mismatches with Taipans when going to a HUMA. Yours being a Mutant vs a Veteran makes me think this even more

HUMA supplies an aluminum ring that spaces the regulator in the correct place in the tube for the vent hole. If your reg isnt situated correctly for the vent hole in the tube, you could maybe be seeing this issue.

So my OEM reg was acting up and I have the Huma for use while fixing the OEM one. Installed the Huma and aired the gun up pulled the trigger and I get nothing but noise of the hammer strike. No air in the plenum behind the reg. Reg set 120b. Any idea what is causing this?
Take the Huma reg apart (Assuming warranty is out) and inspect it. Huma rebuild kits for their regulators are readily available and not expensive.

This sounds real familiar. Got the same type setup for my FX Wildcat I'm wondering if I got parts mixed up. Thanks Franklin!
