Introducing my Bro-in-law to airgunning!

After about 7 years of relating airgun stories to my brother in law he finally accepted my invitation yesterday to see what I've been talking about. He's very recently retired & looking for things to fill the hours. I loaded up everything we'd need for some target shooting & took him to one of the permissions I'm privileged to have. I set up targets at 50 & 75 yards & decided to let him start off with my FX Royale 500 (.25) knowing what an easy gun it is to shoot ACCURATELY even for a novice. Had 4 guns with me thinking he'd want to try all (FX Bobcat .22, Royale .25, Boss .30 & a borrowed Edgun Matador .22). I sighted in the Royale for him @ 50 and, as always, the 1st shots were straight through the dime sized bullseye. Showed him how to load magazine & how to make sure he didn't double feed pellets. The rifle was on a Caldwell dead shot pod (makes it easier for a newb). Within the 1st hour he got a great feel for what he & the gun could do. After that he only wanted to try for the 75 yd targets (paper & 3" steel gongs). He had an absolute blast, went through more pellets than I think I've EVER gone through in one sitting but refused to try any other gun. He was thrilled sticking with the Royale. All in all it was a great 2.5 hours & the smiles, laughs & male bonding was priceless! I think we just might have another airgun convert!

The same guy who made your Royale 500 barrel must have made my Bobcat barrel. 5 shots sub dime at 50yds...Yep those ST barrels will do it...if you can!
