FX FX Impact M4 did not dissapoint! Now I see Why it's #1...

Nates-m4.JPG

Hey guys, I have tested about 400 guns...and this FX Impact M4 truly deserves the #1 spot. Out of the box (no tuning) it's shooting 18.1gr pellets at 890 FPS and doing it perfectly. I'm almost done with the review video but I couldn't wait to show you! I bought this gun with my own money, so I'm not on the FX team. I can just really appreciate shooting an M4, after trying every other gun out there. It shoots like a dream! -Nate

Here is 50+ shots at 38 yards, FX 18.1 gr pellets. Those are 5 shot groups:

This is my second M4, the first was from a major FX dealer and shot like crap at the identical out of the box settings. If your M4 doesn't shoot like the groups shown above, send it back immediately. And if you don't buy from PY Air, you will risk a re-stocking fee if the "techs" don't agree that 1 inch groups at 35 yards is not OK. My first M4 also had parts that looked like they were dropped on the ground, then picked up and installed on the gun. (missing finish). The second M4 from Pyramyd Air was perfect.

Not trying to dump on anyone, but I have pulled new FX rifles out of the box with safetys that don't work. Stuff like that does happen, with all airgun companies, not just FX.

I just ordered one on Saturday, I hope mine is perfect out of the box! I saw the issues you had with the first, glad to hear you got a good one. Looking forward to your review! I see you got the Sniper, I was on the fence between it and the Standard and ended up ordering the Standard. Hopefully, I won't be disappointed!

I love those 600mm, and I really love the 500mm guns. I got the 700mm just to show hopefully the best groups. I'll be swapping barrels very soon.

I am tempted to get a Impact, I am sure they have worked out all the bugs on the new M4 , Or should I wait for the new improved RTI Mora?
I think I am just going to wait and see, I am in no hurry, I got to many guns as it is...
I am sure if I go FX, I will get the 700 barrel and swap out to the 500 very soon,
Mike

That painting was painted by the M4...for real (you will see in the video).

The MORA is said to be really awesome. You may want to get one. I think the Impact is bug free at this point. It does win every single airgun competition (as long as Thayne Simmons doesn't show up with a Red Panda).

I'm sure you're going to like that one also
Will the ZELOS be the poor man's M4? I think I will set up the same distances and targets as the M4 video and see if it can keep up. It should be pretty easy to get my .22 ZELOS going 890 with 18.1gr. I hope it's at least tuned to shoot those.

Sometimes these guns show up maxed out and are totally under powered. Like the best you will get up to 890 FPS is some 14gr or 15.89gr.

Also, is the ZELOS Multi-Caliber? ....looked it up...no it's NOT. Darn it!

The zelos is based on the snowpeak m60, and that comes in calibers 177, 22, 25, 30, and 35.
Snowpeak is also working on the Max1 which is supposed to be an upgraded m60. Wes at airarcheryfun told me in an email that its currently in testing stage, that was a month or so ago.

Well I don’t expect a 500 dollar rifle matching a 2k M4. Others who have M3s and M60Bs give a lot of praise to the Zel60bs.

Shot count is low on the Zelos unfortunately but they are shooting hot
