Vevor shoebox compressor parts

STKO, a YouTube airgun contributor, alleged in a video, about a year back, that manufacturers of oil-less/waterless, high-speed fan only cooled rectangular box compressors don't provide repair parts so after a year or year and a half, when units stop working, consumer will just buy another. Members who've been able to scrounge up parts report rebuilds rarely last. WM

Yes I've patched it together a few times already. Apparently I'll make another thread here re looking for suggestions on a decent unit.

No need for another thread . . . you don't even need to use the search tool - just scan the first few pages in here, and it will be clear that most find the GX-CS4 to be the best bet at this time. Sure, lots have other recommendations, as most people seem to defend their choice in their responses, but the CS4 sure seems (at least to me) to be the best bet for somebody making a clean start with a new compressor. Of course other factors could trump that, like needing it to work of a battery, but for most that is likely the clear answer.

I appreciate the advice. I only fill guns and run it about 5 minutes max at a time. I really don't want a water / oil system and in my case I don't think I need one. The target forge guy on YouTube feels the cs2 is fine for someone like me but I really like having an auto shutoff Guage and it doesn't have that. He says the pump and motor is the same as the cs3 which has a cutoff. The cs4 looks really nice but it's in the $550 range and I'm not sure in my case it's needed.

I'm fairly new to the hobby and I've heard someone made a compressor and called it a shoe box. Mine isn't that brand it just has the shape of a shoe box.
Two different animals, shoebox design boosts pressures from a conventional compressor while high-pressure air compressors generate full amount. For clarity, I refer to oil-less, water-less, high speed fan cooled compressors as rectangular box units. WM

Do you have a pic of your Vevor? I have the dual fan model that stopped building pressure at about a year and a half old but with very little run time. I took it all apart and found the piston and shaft were badly scored and it would not hold air. When I first contacted Vevor I was told that parts were not available but then shortly after I received an email asking for pictures of the parts that I needed. Then ended up sending me a whole new pump assembly.

I've had it apart a few times in the last few months. It first failed just before the warranty expired due yo the gear output shaft breaking. After several messages they finally understood the problem and sent a new gear. This time is just won't build pressure. All of the wear surfaces look in pretty good shape. Replacing o rings didn't help. I might try again to see if they'll send a new pump assembly
