Fast shipping means repeat business

So I placed 3 orders with 3 different companies that advertise on this site and are well known. One order the part needed to be assembled and we communicated back and forth on options a couple days, their the smallest of the 3 by far took 15 days from order to door very reasonable thanks Tim /SPAW. Next was airgun depot, order placed on 8/5 on 8/6 I had a tracking number and it’s going to be delivered on 8/8 out for delivery as I type this Awesome, next and probably the last time I’ll use them but won’t mention their name order placed 7/21 all 4 items in stock no guns to be tested just accessories and all I got is an order confirmation number, at least send an email saying yeah we’re behind in shipping for blah blah reason but at least give an estimated ship date when you dump $900 you start getting antsy.

@BeMeUp Name the offender. If they do crappy service or work, why protect them by telling us about the situation and not naming them? Put them out there.

I had an issue with delayed shipment myself, from a well know, small business. I contacted them and expressed my frustration with the lack of comms. I got an apologetic response very quickly, with an explanation that there had been a death in the family, and being a small business, there was a short delay. Package was in the mail the next day. If there is a problem, it more often than not pays the reach out.

It's real annoying when you have a company print a label and give you a tracking number, then don't pack and ship the item until a week later. I tried to shop local with a smaller business expecting to have the item in two days at most, it was only 4 hours away, but it never shipped out until more than a week later. Item was in stock at the retailer. Talon Tunes has been outstanding with purchases, two days at most, with ground shipping and it's 8 hours away. And of course Pyramid Air is great.

There are two types of businesses, ones who have a strict 9 to 5 mentality. Meaning anything they do is between 9 to 5 no matter what the workload is. The other has a quota mentality. This type of business will make sure an item is done and shipped within a timeframe after purchase. Even if it means getting it done after store hours.

Patience is a must, communication is also a must, and silence is not golden,it is bad brown. Many times there is a problem and the seller informs of such.I appreciate this. Sometimes a seller will tell me they are sending me a partial order.
The truth,many sellers rely on other sellers to get their goods or parts. I went to get a chocolate eclair, baker said he had to wait for the ingredients to arrive,I got a jelly donut instead....
Communication is most important,fast shipping time is also great,I think we are all aware of the good airgun suppliers, why is because people tell other people, companies should be aware of how important this is Good Feedback,
So then airgun suppliers remember the fact of good communication and good feedback and try your best to do it all the time.

Popularity of the retailer can have a lot to do with it as well.
I placed an order for a new gun with AoA and Logan immediately informed me that they had a ton of sales they were trying to get out, so it would be longer than usual.
They test every gun before they're shipped. Took almost 2 weeks to get. It arrived 2 days ago.
Yes, I was anxious but it was worth it. I'd rather not deal with the aggravation of sending a gun back because it's a "lemon".

This is why I really like ordering from talon tunes and Georgia areas day double and triple check their guns before they ever leave. Big companies like pyramid air will send you lemons, even if you have them do the ten shots string for you, because they don't really check the guns. Nothing against Pyramid air, I just preferred to buy ammo from them over guns to not have to deal with the possibility of a lemon.

You can pay for all the fast shipping you want, does no good when your package falls off the tracking radar or goes for an extended trip the other direction. None of which is the business's fault but the shipper's. I can order something from the netherlands and get it in 3 days. I can order something a state away and it takes 2 weeks. Explain that twilight zone episode.

My pet peeve is... as soon as they PRINT a shipping label, they mark the item as shipped. That is a LIE. The product has NOT shipped until it left the premises.

I know these are toys and we are supposed to be patient but I say BLEEP that. When I place an order I expect it to be shipped the next day. I have a sense of urgency at work. I expect it from the people I give my money to. If a company drags their feet, I usually don't buy from them agin.
