.454 slugs in .457 Texan

Anyone that finds 457 ammo to be the correct size should consider this as an option. Buy 454 or maybe 452 ammo, clean it, and powder coat it. You should get right around 457 from the 454 bullets. That 0.003 of plastic might help them chamber too.

As far as Walther barrels being one of the best, there are a few of us with .510 barrels that would disagree.

The .457 are more accurate but enough so to make the investment in casting worth it, don't know yet. By chance do you have the link or know where the article is that the guy rechambered his barrel or fix that a little bit I'm having a bit of the same issue where I have a really really tight bore waiting for some sizing dies or in smaller bullets to come in

I have since tested the 197gr .452 and they aren't consistently accurate past 50 yards I liked the speed but after further testing not accurate in my rifle it likes the longer slugs.

All you need is a throating reamer..PTG and Dave Manson Reamers make them..I have also used powder burner finish reamers in said airgun caliber and just run the reamer in far enough to cut throat.. You can rent throating reamers from reamerrentals.com...There is a hand finish chambering system from dave manson reamers that doesnt need a lathe.

Llama I have since tested retested the 197gr NSA .452 slugs aren't as accurate as I thought in my Texan past 50 yards but I think that's because their a shorter slug, the .454 slugs I have sized down from .457
