M60B 30 cal and PARD DS35 first blood!

Got her all zeroed up this morning with the JTS 45.06 grain going 835 fps. I used my red torch to scan the trees hoping to find a coon on such a cool evening. Back in a tree and saw 2 sets of eyes but I didn't want to take an unrecoverable coon.

I came back out around 1030 and found one in my front tree. They can't hide from the IR! I positioned myself for a good shot and boy did I get one!

I have to transfer the video to my phone, but here are a couple teaser pics!

This is actually my first real NV kill too! I've taken a couple using my red torch, but this is first true NV and recorded kill!

Off hand shot obviously. Sorry for all the wobbling around. I was excited! I was trying to adjust my magnification at the end and realized it was all the down already. I was maybe 20 feet away from where it landed. I thought it was coming at me for a second!

Heck of a shot and nice video!
The "lights out" when it hit the left eye was pretty cool. Hopefully this was the coon that attacked my neighbor's dog. Luckily the dog just had some cuts on its muzzle and didn't get rabies. It was late afternoon when it attacked so we were worried it was rabid or had distemper.

I know of at least 2 more hanging around the house, so I will hopefully get those soon.

Boy, I am a dog lover and am so glad you took that possibly rabid bandit out! Hope you anchor the rest too!

That's awesome, krals are nice. One of my local airgun shops sells kervan arms and they're really consistent and nice turkish guns
I had one when they first made it to Canada and had it imported. It was nice, but heavy. I couldn't get more than 40 fpe out of the 25 cal without doing a bunch of porting without any support at the time, I opted to kick it down the road.

Sadly, Kral has really sort of vanished as of late. I was excited to see the imperium was coming out, but it never came to fruition.

Canada Shooting Supply is the go to for parts, but I think Ramen may have sold the company. Their customer service has really went down. They sent me 2 wrong barrels recently and took forever to respond to my emails, then wanted to charge me to exchange them.

Sad to hear about your experience. I talked with the owner of the store down here and he spoke with Kervin Arms about the guns being lower on power and asked if anything could be done adn they said they could've sent them making 50-55fpe if he had asked 🙃 lol. Aside from that tid bit I haven't really used them, much less the .25 I tend to stick to .177, .22 and .30 or .35

I ported the exhaust hole on the valve and tried a stiffer hammer spring, and it gained like 10 fps lol. I said yeahhhnoooo.

That's a bummer man, did it not gain any fos from solely porting?
It came with a restricted exhaust port on the valve. It was a set screw they installed with a tiny hole in it to keep it under 500 fps per Canadian law.

I removed that and it brought it to around 800 fps with 25.4s. So then I swapped a stiffer spring in and it got to like 840 or something. The hammer spring adjustment was maybe 3 full turns worth of threads before it would bottom out.

I could've worked my magic and made it probably do 60 fpe for 20 shots, but I didn't want to have a big heavy musket with the added moderator. If I could've got a spare barrel at the time to cut down and make the shroud functional, I might have kept it. I liked the stock it had, it was that wooden thumbhole rifle stock they make.

Gotcha! See the ones here are already making 40fpe, and Kervin Arms me tioned having to open up the trasnfer port connection between the transfer port hole and the airgun. They also mentioned that the consistency of the fps wouldn't be as tight anymore but it would allow for a lot more power. I can't blame you for not wanting to mess with it as it was

I had one like this.

Now that stock fitted to a Kral NP03 action would be sweet.
