New seal installed with some extra attention paid in various other places during the time it was all apart. Shot cycle feels radically different even from when it was brand new at shot 1. Overall quieter, and with less recoil...which the scopes will appreciate. Took 1 shot over the chrono in between rain drops. Fps now at 964, when first out of the box it was 100 fps less with the same pellet. Logic says the seal was bad from the jump, and got worse with shooting.

unfortunately this being my first ever gas ram, I was unaware the recoil I was feeling was abnormal. Lesson learned, moving on.

Hello Ive been looking for a nice break action that doesnt cost so darn much, just for occasionally plinking and hunting doves pigeons and maybe rabbits.

Is the Crosman Np2 good to go aside from a little modding? Been wanting a nice wooden stock break action due to aesthetic, and nostalgia that doesnt cost me over 200 and is local to support my folks shop

I used a hex head screw which I was skeptical on during the install. The head size is taller so the trigger hits the screw head. You absolutely can push it too far if your screw is long enough to create a hair trigger, or 1 that doesn't catch during the cocking stroke. Start with it backed out more than you intend it to be once adjusted. Remember. ...I did not recommend, suggest or coerce you into doing this. Think a button head hex screw would address the trigger contact problem?

Had the .22 for 2 yrs. Took 400 shots to settle into a darn fine rifle. I'm a springer guy but wanted to have a porch gas piston and it is a great one. After it ate the first scope in just a few rounds I realized the odd recoil was gonna do exactly as I anticipated. But I do love this gun and subsequently got it's springer brother, the Optimus. It stacks 'em at 22 yds and these are some excellent Crosmans

Once the bearing mod was done it was no longer an issue.

Once I replace the piston seal the recoil became much tamer, and accuracy issues were resolved. So far the Centerpoint scope is still going strong
