Hatsan One Week with the Hatsan Velox .22

It will never suceed with that short barrel.
20Joule is a lot and enough for a pistol.
For more power you need a rifle size gun
How does the GK1 with a 6in barrel make 90 FPE in .25 then?
Even the Hatsan Jet one is 610fps in .25 right out the box. Little tuning and it’s shooting 650fps.

after four weeks, the Allen Bolt that holds the charging bolt loosened, and I had to tighten it after applying blue lock tight. No issues since then.

Great Job. I did not have any problem mounting both a pistol scope and a red dot on mine. I guess I got lucky. Nice you have the tools and skill to perfect design gaps.
On your pictures you can see that your scopemounts are not sitting corectly.
The rail does not have the right dimensions.
Typically Hatsan, why make something good?

I have used my Hatsan Velox for a week now and have the following impression: Summarized, it is a good buy for what is can do. I have put around 1000 CPHPs downrange without one malfunction. This includes at least 200 pellets fired as fast as I could pull the trigger. I put a Donny FL Tanto on it and that reduced the bark enough to make it very backyard friendly. The Tanto in the tube fits nicely in the pistols case. Filling it to 250 bar with an accurate gauge will render 24 shots, albeit the velocity reduces about 6 to ten fps per shot. FX Pocket Crony for 24 shots is below:

Airgun Pistol
CPHP 14.33gr
Shot count: 24

Low: 493 FPS
Hi: 624 FPS
Avg: 567 FPS
Spread: 131 FPS
STD Dev: 40.0 FPS

What it is: Inexpensive, Accurate, Well Balanced, Well Made, Decent Trigger Pull, Great Plinker.
What it is not: A Huben G1 (but it did not cost $1200), Dime sized group at 10 yards, 30 ftlbs power.

If you are looking for an inexpensive PCP air pistol to shoot cans, army men, rocks, pine cones, leaves floating on the water, and varmints at 10 to 20 yards; it is a great choice. I shoot one mag and refill. That gives me consistent accuracy, muzzle velocity, and power. For a long shooting session, I tether it to my tank and set the regulator on the tank to 200 bar. I have only used the iron sights and have been able to consistently produce half dollar 12 round groups at 10 yards. I am sure the groups would tighten with a scope or red dot, but a half dollar with iron sights is about as good as these old eyes will do.
This very closely looks like the Evanix Viper that i have .
