WestHunter 3-12x44 SFIR FFP

After reading the following link …

I came to “more appreciate” my little WestHunter, 9.57” long, 19 ounces, simply a sweet package. Daylight bright IR with zero blooming, yesterday kills out to 60 yards on 6X. I would buy it again. A sweet little scope…

I have a Vector Optic 3-12x44SFP I think it IS the same scope,I do have the WesthunterTMD4-14X44/30,nice ,but I think the little Westhunter you have is the way to go(y)
For pesting out to 60+ yards yes… For target shooting I like the bigger scopes on my other guns…🙏

@L.Leon Since you've used yours over a decent period of time and are still touting this scope, I'd say it's worth another look. I remember when you first started with this scope, back then I bought a different model and returned mine. That's probably been close to 2 years now. How have the lens coatings held up on yours? Do you use scope caps on any of your Westhunters?

Mine is currently atop my Pathfinder and serving quite well. Out to 60+ yards small pests are in peril. The lens coatings are fine, no scratches or delaminating. I run the “honeycomb” filter on the objective, no rear cap. Like I mentioned I would buy it again. Am currently in my backyard looking through it at 6x with the IR on. Daylight visible, no blooming… My Pathfinder has worn, three different scopes: Aztec Emerald, Athlon Helos and the WHT Westhunter… The sweet, small but capable form factor is just right. My second Atomic XR is currently sporting a red dot sight. At some close future point am putting another WHT 3-12x44 on it. On my longer range Ghost Carbine XR I will tolerate a longer, bigger scope. But have learned through experiences afield not to over scope and heavy up little guns… I don’t have practical uses for scopes that are almost half the length of the rifle they sit on…🙏
