RAW Rapid Are my expectations to high?

So I ended up converting my .25 to .22 with the barrel and probe I had from an older (2018) Hm1000X. I also changed out the RAW reg to a Huma just to make the adjustments a bit easier. Only gripe with the Huma is they don't tell you that you have to remove the pin valve every time to adjust the reg. They should supply you with a tool to make it easier.

Martin recommended I shoot the 18.1gr pellets at about 900-930fps so I settled on 920fps with the Huma reg set at 100bar. Shot count is insane compared to the .25 setup, SD, ES and groups were looking really good for a 6mph wind with 10mph gusts, Next text will hopefully be on a calm day. I really don't like the look of the older barrel with built on moderator but it really is quiet compared to .25 setup so I will live with it for now.

Awesome! Sorry you had to change calibers to get accuracy! Beautiful stock, and yes, a detuned .22 gets more shots and a bit more quiet. Mine is detuned to shoot 18gr JSB @ 970fps so I can shoot slugs on same tune. Another plus is .22 ammo is much cheaper than .25, especially the lighter ammo....😂👍....I have the same OEM moderator as yours, works well. Enjoy shooting that beauty!

I may end up trying a few slugs at 50 yards eventually just to see how they do. I really wouldn't mind getting a press and making my own if they do well.

I ended up having to adjust the hammer spring out and my 25.39gr JSB now shoot much better at 885fps. When testing at 50m anything above 900fps was massive groups. And I know I can shoot as I jump on my Anschutz 2013 and shoot dots straight away. Haha.

Im trying pellet sizing and the eagle vision air stripper now. Im also going to try slugs in it. Will be interesting if they work.

BTW, where did you get the stock from??

That stock was bought from Martin and modified by a forum member here (TerryMC). I liked the stock so much I bought his whole rifle just for the stock ;) I showed a picture to Martin and at first he thought someone copied his stock design until he looked closer.

I did try to detune my 25 caliber to shoot in the mid 800's all the way up to 950 and never had any luck. First outing with the rifle as a 22 has been positive for sure.

FYI....my barrel likes NSA .2175 diameter slugs and I use the 17.5 & 20.2gr @ 950 & 930fps respectively, your barrel is probably has a slightly different diameter but you have a baseline to start with. Also, my barrel is polished and it shoots better with a cleaner barrel with slugs.

I shoot rimfire and centerfire BR so the Rodzilla Raptor was justified and works great. I like the protektor bag, it’s a little bulky but it’s heavy and stays put.

i always say that as long as you have good equipment then you are the only one to blame when you shoot poorly

So true! That's why I mumble to myself A LOT on a daily basis shooting my RAW because when I miss I KNOW IT'S ALL ON ME....😂👍
