Huma Reg Vulcan 3

I set my huma regulator to 160 bar and the mark indicates 110 bar 50 bar difference which is huge but I'm very happy with it. Very consistent

I know this has aged some but what's your thoughts on the huma now that you've had it for a bit? Caliber and tune?

Thanks!

Hey buddy nothing wrong with the factory agt reg they just don't works as they supposed to above 170 bar i messed up 1 of my factory agt reg because I was setting it up blind didn't have reg tester at that time.

Huma are great i fitted 2 regulators on my Vulcan 700mm and 500mm in .22 now i settled on 170 bar for the V700 and 175 bar for the V500 almost instant recovery and you can rebuild them with rebuild kit the sticker is not accurate so a regulator tester is needed

Will upload a video for you

My Vulcan 500mm tuned for the h&n 27gr .217 at 1005 fps amazing accuracy My Vulcan 700mm tuned for the h&n 30gr .218 1020 fps laser accurate.
I have some shooting footage with the vulcan 3 on my channel
Thanks for the feedback! Contemplating getting one and setting it up for a 44 grain slug and then having the stock tuned for a lighter slug so i can just swap regs dependant on what im doing. I do have the reg tester from talon tunes.

You have any issues filling over 3500psi? I've read that a few times with the huma.

Thanks again!

Can Anyone Please Help. I Have A Huma Reg Fitted To My Vulcan 3. But The Markings For Adjustment Are Missing. How Many Turns From Being Wound Down Would I Have To Unwind Out To 140 bar.
Thank You In Advance
Call or email Huma ([email protected]). Ask him for the reg outside length measurement when adjusted to their factory setting. That will get you close enough to do your tuning. You don't really need a tester, since you will have to balance HST and reg setting to a specific velocity anyway.

I fill my vulcan to 300 bar and I didn't have any issue

Last night I was measuring the length of my Huma reg for the Taipan Veteran because the scale on the side have faded badly and want to be able to at least keep track of it for as long as I can without having to buy a reg tester yet. I know it's not the same reg but just to give you an idea what length difference we are looking at here. On mine, the difference on overall length between the maximum setting of 170 bar compared to the 90 bar minimum is 0.37mm. It was very difficult to measure with the calipers. It would work better if I was using a micrometer but my micrometer only goes up to an inch.

In my case though, I had the original scale to go by. It would very difficult in your case without any scale to reference by. It would be possible to ask least get an idea where it's currently set at by watching you shot string but that will be a huge pain especially if the reg has been spun out of spec. The easiest thing to do is get a reg tester.

Its always better to have a reg tester also i found when the surface of the derlin disc that seals when it reach the set point changes your settings changes.

For example you have a new reg and you set it exactly to 140 and mark your settings precisely by micro millimeter if you change your reg pressure to 170 and then try to go back to 140 using your precise measurement is not going back to 140 because the surface of the derlin sealing disc has changed

Yes, this as well. The length and the side scale can give you an idea where you are but they're no where near ideal. For my purposes right now, it's close enough as I tend to fill about 10 bars above where I have it set, but I know eventually I will need to buy that reg tester.
