What springer did you shoot today?

I think most people zero at 25 or 30 yards. I used to zero at 30 but lately I've been zeroing at 40 yards for the long game.View attachment 489652

It’s my TX200HC in .22 with a Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40AO and an Air Arms moderator. Believe it or not, I’ve owned this thing for right around two years and have only shot it about three time before. I zeroed it early 2023 and then our lives got turned completely upside down, so I only had it out one other time that year. Today marks the third time out. I switched optics on it, so today was another zero session. Dialed it in at 20 yards (not sure it’ll stay there, I still have a lot of research to do on what distance I want to zero it at) and then plinked with it for awhile, trying different pellets.
I used Daisy HP to zero, and accuracy was pretty mediocre. Good for popping soda cans or maybe close-range pesting, but that’d be it. I then tried the ol’ Crosman Premier HP and holy cow, it liked those! Again, third time shooting a springer so I’m still learning, but I managed just under a 1/2” group with those, best group of the day by far!
I also tried some JSB Jumbo Express 14.35gr and some Air Arms 16gr. I only shot one group of each, and didn’t clean between types. The JSBs were unremarkable and the AA 16gr were actually decent but not as good as the CPHP. I plan to take it out again and spend more time with it, cleaning between each type to give them a chance to show their true potential. However, I may just be stocking up on the CPHP as an inexpensive stockpile option, as the TX really seemed to like them right off the bat!
I’m hoping to get things dialed in soon though, as squirrel season started this past week and we have an abundance of birds at work that need to be thinned out before they become a safety issue!

I found a deal on a slightly used Hawke Airmax 2-7X32 on the classifieds, hopefully have next week. So I took the Hawke Vantage off the 97K and put it on the 766. Tomorrow I'll see if it does any better than last time with the cloudy lens 4X15 powerline scope I had on it.
The 97K will be upgraded with the Airmax that has the thinner reticle for more precise aiming.

I spent a bit of time out shooting springers today. I shot both 77s, R9 and a HW50S. Christopher and I spent some time blasting paintballs and kicking an empty Gatorade bottle around.

Worked on yard, 58F. when I started. Killing off the bugs.
Got the HW50 .22 out again. Excellent rifle.
Another .22 cal, a HW97. My first 97. 
One thing Weihrauch sucks at is, it’s stocks on springers. Very accurate gun though. Crow

Basically the same thing I had, but mine was from the 80's..lol, and was scoped out.
Have you tried to shoot a group at 40 yards with it? I wasn't successful.

lol. No. Not tried 40 yards. Try to keep my pesting under 20 yards.
Plinking and targets 15 yards. It accurate to 20. May have to stretch it out a bit to see how my (back then) 49.99 pellet gun does

Yeah pretty good to 20 yards. I'm trying to get mine grouping at 40, gonna try again this evening
with the new scope.

got out for a while HW77 long .22 1/2 inch spinners @ 48 yards . Next since i had .22's out . Webley MK3 under lever / trap door loading .22 3/4 inch spinner @ 48 yards about 50% of the time hahaha . last HW30 .177 diopter sights @ 16 yards nickel size hole 15 shots .
