I have been considering a Ghost. Shot one Wednesday at the local shop that another guy bought. Accuracy was superb, plenty of power.
My only complaint was the trigger. A lot of travel and gritty. Have never seen anyone here mention an issue with triggers on these guns. Was this one an anomaly?
how did you find the action noise ? obviously i know there is going to be noise with the hammer next to the ear, but i shot bullpups that the sound was tame to my ears and not just industrial hammer forges.

We have 4 👻's at the house and I don't find them noisy at all. Now my Vulcan 3 pings even with a de-pinger, but I don't hear anything from the ghost.

As for triggers, they can be worked on and smoothed out, but if you are going to buy a ghost get one from Derrick @zx10wall, He will tune the rifle and do a trigger job on it before it ships out.

Owning a couple Vets, and having taken thousands upon thousands of shots from the Vet platform and the Ghost platform......
If hammer/action noise is high on your priority list, a Taipan Vet in .177 will have much less action noise than a Ghost in .177, assuming equal power ouput.

I'm not sure it's all the hammer, but the Ghost certainly has more action noise than a Veteran.

Not making this a Ghost versus Taipan thing b/c they are both truly awesome airguns and I like em both about equally for but different reasons....The Ghost is more capeable of being something else (barrel and/or caliber swap). The Ghost also makes more power on the top end, than the Vet platform. Ghost is more easily tuned, external regulator, hammer wheel with visible marks. Taipan is more pleasant to shoot (better trigger and much more docile shot cycle).
hello buddy, you are referring to the original? I am asking because i have never been around the new vet. But wonder if i bought today what i would get. I really like my vet standard

Yes, referring to the original Veteran. Like you, I haven't shot a Veteran 2. From what I've seen others share, seems that many of the same parts though. I'd hazard a guess that the new one has the same (or similar) light hammer and valve so probably similar shot cycle to the first gen.

I've had a ghost in .30 for several weeks now. Bought it used from the classifieds. The trigger is the only thing I want to change, too. I don't know if the previous owner messed with it or not. I've got a Ranger, a Taipan Vet 2 and now a RAW hm1000x. The Taipan and RAW REALLY made me aware of how much improvement the Ghosts trigger can stand. The RAWs trigger is in one word..... phenomenal. I will be following franklinks guide to work my Ghost trigger over. Love the rifle otherwise!

It's all in adjustments. I got 3 Daystates at once and all 3 were not the same. 1 good, one need a little tweeking, and the other was so far out it would allow the action to work properly.
