Long story short, I want a longer threaded barrel for my classic Leshiy, so I'm thinking of maybe buying a 12mm OD barrel made for some other airgun and chopping down the breech end. Any idea if that would work? And if so, what quality arguns use 12mm OD barrels? Thank you.

Artemis has at least one, I think on their M16, which I assume has been discontinued.
I don't recall what the threads are but as I recall they are not either of the thread options for the Behemoth Tri-Lug. So you would need an adapter for the project mentioned in your previous thread.
I know these have been used in Leshiy Classics but I do not recall anyone using them as you mentioned.

The barrels on both my Chaser's are 12mm which I have put 12 x 16 carbonfibre tubes on to work as stiffeners

Not sure how easy this would be, but an FX liner epoxied into a 12mm carbon fiber tube might work & already comes in a 380mm length. You would need some sort of threaded fitting at the muzzle end to accept the Tri-Lug.

Might watch some videos on the various liner adapters for the L2. I think those are just brass fittings.

I believe AirForce Airguns have 12mm barrels, but I'll need to figure out how to thread it.

AirForce/LW barrels come in 12mm. Be carefully, some 12mm barrels are .472 some are .469 to .470

That's easy, turn down a short section of barrel and sleeve it with 1/2x20 or what ever you want

Well, turning it down is the hard part without a lathe. That said, 12mm is smaller than 1/2", I wonder if I can just die it without turning it down.

Nope, minor diameter is about .453 on a 1/2x20. That would not leave you enough material for the threads to very strong. If you get a barrel I can help you with threading it. You just cover shipping.

Would there be any advantage or disadvantage to starting with an already threaded barrel & turning down the entire area that fits into the receiver?

I believe EdgunWest has posted info on the lower limits of acceptable diameters for Leshiy Classic barrels. I'll see if I can find it later today. Need to get some chores & hopefully a hike done before the heat sets in here.

Big pain in the butt, need an OD grinder to size a large section of barrel. I would not do it for myself.

You can also get an adapter for what thread you want. In my case it had to fit inside a shroud so the adapter was not an option.

DonnyFL used to make an adapter for what @muradtexas is wanting to do. Unfortunately discontinued.
I believe in his other thread he mentioned since he needs to source a barrel anyway, why not just source one with threads & not have to bother sourcing the adapter.
Do I have that correct @muradtexas ?

Here is the DonnyFL adapter I mentioned. I'm not willing to sell mine but wanted you to see what it looked like in case you posted a WTB ad.
I've heard the Behemoth takes a strong turn to seat it on the Tri Lug so I'm not sure the three small grub screws are secure enough to stay put.
As mentioned in your other thread, at least one AGN member drilled out & re-tapped those holes for much larger screws. I believe he even added a few more.
With that in mind & given you'd need to source & buy one of these as well as the longer barrel, you're probably better off sourcing a blank & have it machined.

Yes, hence the need for 12mm OD barrel. I figure I can cut and grind the breech end myself, it's the simplest option.
I'm actually gonna try to install the Behemoth with tri-lug on my Uragan 2 in the meantime, see how it works with a QD silencer.
