Air Gunner Harmonics

Lots of info on air gun harmonics but what about the air gunner ! I am just at one year since my ex buddy lead me down the PCP path . Is there a normal harmonic balance for the gunner . For me its been 5 PCPs in two calibres - three compressors and 16,000 + rds fired . No let up in sight ! Can you fellas help me to measure my harmonic balance . Muchass Grabass for your help . :oops:

Harmonics is something one should worry about if repeatable accuracy is an issue. I find seeking a Harmonics weight to be a last resort. Other simple issues will affect Harmonics like:
-Loose stock (most common)
-Loose barrel or shroud
-Anything else Loose on gun
-Chrono that hangs from barrel
-Moderator (get one gun likes better)
Free floating barrels can have an issue. Sometimes a barrel band can solve issues. I've seen guns that come with a barrel band shoot better without.
There are solutions you can buy if you really need to go that route. FX makes an adjustable weight. Terminader Industries makes a few things. Donny FL makes a Moderator that can be shortened or lengthened as well as removing baffles to lighten.
Don't drive yourself crazy. If your gun is shooting the way you like, run with that. If not, check it over and see what you can find.

You are off to a good start , i would need to actually go and "hands on " count to give you an accurate count .

Me thinks the loose screw behind the trigger or blind in one eye and can not see with the other . No.... all is good !

Yup! There are those days when one just can't get their act together and concentrate. Instead of futzing around and/or wasting ammo I just put the gun away and try again tomorrow.
I have learned that as I get older my hands can add to the harmonics...:LOL:

I feel strongly against harmonics playing a huge role in most low power pcps shot to shot precision however for fx straw barrels that make a lot of power, perhaps...

Make inferior products and then sell aftermarket add-ons to remedy them. Buy more to cry less.

Yep. Just when I think they are running out of things to take our money, someone makes a video that convinces the airgun world there is a new thing to concern ourselves with. And life just can’t go on until we throw money at it. Either buying a trinket or selling an extra couple pounds of lead to every airgunner as he spins in circles over it.
