Where have all the classic springers and CO2 rifles gone?

I am on here a lot and shoot springers way more than pcp . short time ago i bought a Mac 1 and only have shot it 4 times in the last month and i shoot every day , also 78 year old . PCP's are boring to me .
I too am the same age and also find the PCP's boringly accurate. With my springers, I have to work a little to get the performance I want. I had a Marauder once but gave it away. Now I only own springers, 6 to be exact. I'm pretty much a "backyard plinker" but once in awhile a critter will come by that needs dispatching. There are a number of reasons to shoot a springer (most mentioned here) but I think that they take me back to a time when I had fewer worries and life was simple. Growing up with a springer was a special time with some great memories.

I love my TX200 MKIII in .177. I shoot it mostly between 30-yards and 50-yards. I started seeing if I could get my entry to PCP to do as well. I hope to use the PCP out to 100-yards.
I love shooting my TX200 as well. But before you go too far down the rabbit hole with PCPs, get out of my way as I shoot that wascally wabbit with my HW97K. Golly, but I love my springers. Orv.

Back when the yellow forum was called just that, and before most airgun enthusiasts joined the "dark side" as they would say. You could check the classifieds and see a bunch of highly customized springers. Or at least more often.

Not the case anymore. I would imagine that all of the extra 💰 💰 💰 that used to go to exotic stocks, triggers/trigger guards, muzzle breaks, tunes is now going to aftermarket impact m3 parts 😂.
Yup. The Yellow Forum was where I learned I could still acquire those fine old HW's and FWB's I dreamed of when I was young. I liked that "I'll Take It" secured it for you. The Yellow got me into sort-of-collecting, or at least owning more springers than I need.
