I have been hanging on to this new in the box FWB 300 for many years. I had a letter from the factory some years back saying this was perhaps the very last full size FWB 300 to be manufactured in 1972 before the smaller FWB 300S came out. If not the last one, it was at least manufactured during the last week of manufacture of this model. I am wondering how uncommon these are, and what it may be worth? If anyone can give me some advice, I would appreciate it. 52 years old and aging well. I take it out twice a year to oil it down, other than that it just lives in my safe. I thnk FWB made some of the nicest air rifles ever produced. If only everything was built to this standard, what a nice world it would be.

Are the values listed in the Blue Book accurate as to what can be expected for a gun to sell for, or are they just kinda general guidlines? How often is it updated? I was reading posts about people getting older paper copies and the online version being too expensive. Is it worth looking for an older copy on ebay or somewhere? I assume values would go up over time...

And BTW: I wasn't looking for an offer. I have collected 36 airguns over my long life, but I am old now, and broke my back a couple years ago so I can no longer get around. I have never sold an airgun before, and haven't ever really concerned myself with values, it was just a passion and a hobby for me. I've been a gunsmith for many years, and I always loved working on airguns, but never sold any, so I was really just looking for advice. Your reply seemed a bit rude. Sorry if I offended. I really only meant what I wrote.

Interesting bit of trivia: the label of the original seller is still on the gun, located in Braunschweig near the East German border, and site of large US Army activity because of it's proximity to GDR. Back in the bad old days that's where the Red Army was supposed to cross the border? Possible that's a AG a US soldier brought home as a souvenir of their service? I hope nobody ever takes that label off!

That is an absolute beauty! I would think that could be worth over a couple thousand to the right collector, given the condition and the original box and papers - possibly MUCH more! Totally just a guess though... Even beat up ones seem to sell for $500 - $1000 on auction.

You would do best $$$with an auction house (guns international is one ) I buy sell at the air gun show's and typically FWB300 sell for $350 to $400 . That said yours is a little better with the original box and papers so i would add another $50 to $75 . You might get a bit more from a collector if they actually see the item . also you should ty it out to make sure it still functions and the FPS is at least near the advertised rate .
