Airgun Technologies Vulcan 3 newbie

Morning all,

Newbie to the world of PCP’s here. After a few years of shooting springers I’ve treated myself to a Vulcan 3/500mm/0.177 UK sub 12 ft/lb’er.

Unfortunately I was feeling the cocking action and stupidly double loaded and subsequently blew the breach seal out.

Is it a case of stripping the top of the rifle off and installing the new seal with a dental hook and bit it fiddling, or do I need to de gas the rifle and remove the barrel to access it please?

I appreciate this is super simple stuff to you guys, however I’m wanting to learn the right way and believe you should always ask before jumping straight in.

Many thanks.

I got 2 videos on the Vulcan 3 i no longer have.

To get the barrel off, you just remove the plastic cover at the back that you rest your cheek on while shooting ( 6 screws as i recall )
And then the barrel are fixed with a few screws in the back, but also 4 more under the scope rail that you also need to remove.

You should not need to take the pressure of the rifle for removing the barrel.

You can also take off the entire bottle + plenum pipe assembly while it is pressurized, it is all sealed by the shot valve that is in the end of the plenum pipe.
Just this is sort of a load supporting part of the rifle so with that removed + the barrel, what is left are a bit " floppy "
So i have generally just removed 1 of the two things at a time to have some rigidity in the stuff i am working on.
