Walther LP 3

Ill share.
I found quite simply if you follow the advice on the web to machine up the little brass reservoir, it works quite nicely …just run an image search on LP3 valve repair ..and it will bring up the replacement for the OEM stainless version …the brass does not wear the ball bearing and minutely longer, puts a bit more sealing pressure against the red seal….but i went a bit further.
I machined up a tiny spring guide…just sat loose inside the spring and barely 3mm length.
It reduces the Valve volume = increased pressure. .Ive ran LP3s upto 435 fps with this mod.
Similarly a tiny foreign body placed into the LP2 valve will reduce valve volume.

Hi Steveoo.
I'm brand new here but have been around firearms for 59 years & sir guns for tp years. I just picked up a real clean LP3 with seal kit & new aluminum piston. Since I'll have it apart, I'd like to know your tune trick.
Thanks, Brian
If any wants the little secret for boosting the LP2/3 pm me…
Thanks for the LP3 info.
Brian

Old post thread but i will add anyway . just picked up a Walther LP mod 3 at the NY show , no papers just the gun and a Walther hard case .
do you oil it any where ? the gun seems to pump very easy at the start but harder at the final bit of the stroke . I have found no source for the manual .

Thanks Stan in Ky .

Here is the manual. Check the Pilkington website for more information...

Yes use a touch of Teflon grease, seal safe, or Pellgun oil on the seal...
It's only to wet the seal. I found a good Teflon grease doubles well for lubricating the metal on metal of the piston and confirmed safe with alloy on alloy contact...
Do not go anywhere near it with Moly as this is for springers and will just crud up the valve.
I found Hobbys pushed through the bore to pre size them outstanding in these ...
