Custom Beeman qb78s pistol

I needed a silhouette pistol for some 10m silhouette matches at the club and this is what this cheap donkey came up with . Started out life as a Beeman QB78S chopped it down and put some wood on it . Shoots good enough for some wins .

Yes cut it off silver soldered a piece on and recontoured it , those triggers are an alloy that doesn't like to bend. And the original barrel sight is on with 2 screws that happen to be the same spacing as a picatinny block I had . Worked better than I hoped.

It looks great. Nice work!

Regarding an off-center bore, I remember a guy sending me a QB78 several years ago which looked like that at the muzzle. I went ahead and dressed the crown with the brass screw technique and smoothed the leade (read: the only things I knew how to do at the time), and it promptly turned in very nice groups with the 10.3gr JSBs.

AirNGasMan would be proud

You got that right, Steve! Bassett did a great job, huh? Love the pistol stock. GREAT WORK, BASSETT! (y)(y)

For anyone wondering why Steve referenced me in this thread, here are some of my QB based conversions-

And Crosman 160/167/180/187 based conversions; QBs being Chinese copies of the 1950s-70s vintage Crosmans.
