Best moderator to "shush up" an AEA Hp SS Plus in .25

They're going to be loud, short barrel with a heavy hammer. You need something with volume...think Ronin or bigger if you want the best chance of it being small yard friendly. Not the best pcps for being quiet. Anything smaller probably won't be what you're looking for. 

I have a HP SS PLUS in 22 and I have a DFL Sumo on it and it does a good job of muzzle suppression, but the blowback and stiff spring re cocking are still noisy. But i am happy with the overall noise level.

Tatsu does nothing, in my case.

 

Use a Ronin on my .30 hpss if real quiet is what you're seeking that should really be the smallest DonnyFL..

You should probably be looking for both LONG and FAT....

For my .22 PP700 pistol at 15FPE Donny FL suggested the Sumo — and he was right: just long enough and fat enough to shush such a short barrel to backyard-friendly. But your gun has more air than mine to stow away, of course....

There's also a section on how to tune a PCP to get it quieter. For my short barreled PP700 it made a big difference.

What kind of pellets are you using? I switched over to NSA slugs on my SS Plus .30 cal, and it's substantially quieter.

Edit: I currently have a Tanto on it, but muzzle volume seems the same with or without moderator. I have a new Fat Boy 2.0, but it won't clear my upgraded 450cc tank. Still waiting on Bin to ship out my 13" shroud.

I have a HP Backpacker. I had a Tanto on it at first that did a good job. Put a Sumo on a few weeks ago and it seems quieter. Changed them over because the Tanto belongs to another rifle. IMO either works.

Be careful.

Adding a moderator may affect the semi-auto action. I couldn't get my AEA HPBP .25cal to cycle with a Tanto on.

What about where to get an adapter for it. Hopefully in 1/2 unf.

If it becomes a single shot with the moderator on it, will that help with the report anyway.
