Umarex Hair trigger & lost 1st stage

Before I bring it to my local shop I was wondering if anybody had some tips or pointers to remedy.

while shooting my Notos the trigger became really sensitive. Like a hair trigger. I had experienced this before which lead me to learn how to adjust the trigger. I found that if i loosened the 1.5mm set ecrew enough I could get a nice first stage and a somewhat comfortable main trigger. I applied lock tight & all was well. That was a few months ago. Today during target practice all was good … until it wasn’t. seems like with no warning the trigger had a reduced 1st stage & just a hair pressure to shoot. Causing much of an issue as it was a little scary. I remembered what I did last time. I assumed the little adjustment screw (1.5mm) had worked its way out again. I tightened a turn & it was worse … loosened a bit and felt a first stage however, it was still too sensitive. I decided to lightly tighten the screw all the way In. Backed it out two turns. At that point, I could not cock the lever. It wouldn’t go far enough to advance the pellet or charge the chamber. Loosened 1/2 turn at a time until I could. Found no 1st stage & the same hair trigger. This time it actually shot off with the safety on ( I did remove the mag before all this). I kept on loosening with basically the same results. The looser I made it … I would regain a very little 1st stage but still was far too sensitive & the saftey no longer worked at all. It shoots with the safety on & A hard knock will set it off.
anything ?

How many pellets have you put through this gun? It sounds like a case of wearing down the sear or engagement.

Have you tried taking off the buttstock and unscrewing the sideplates of the grip to look at the trigger assembly?
