Many people get good results with JTS pellets of different weights. So, some months back I bought a tin of 18.13gr to test. I tried all tunes and speeds from 700fps to 950fps, it did not shoot well.

Three weeks ago I increased the reg pressure and installed a stronger spring for testing heavier pellets and slugs. Then I tested Rifle Premium Dome pellets in 18.67 which previously did not shoot good from this PCP. I found that is shot good at 1060fps. Today I tested that JTS 18.13 at the higher speeds, starting from maximum turning down the HS. The JTS shoots good at speeds from 1060fps and down but best at 1020fps. I found with this rifle all pellets shoots better at higher speeds than from most other rifles as people are showing.

The 25 meter range is somewhat protected from the wind so that is where I shot, where at the longer ranges the wind is to strong for proper groups. This month the wind is strong during the day.

This is the target at 25 meter with two 5 shot groups at 1020fps with spread of 12fps +&-. The left group was shot first and with the right group I adjusted the scope 1 click up and one click left.

Glad you’ve found success. What gun is it, and what barrel length and twist rate?
Artemis M22
5.5mm
Twist rate 18.5
Barrel length = 480mm. It used to be 500mm but there was a scratch inside the very front of the barrel, looked like someone poked a metal-something in. So I shortened and re-crowned it to remove the scratched part.

My normal pellets for it is H&N Baracuda 18 at 940 - 950 fps. Supper accurate. But now I have a wider choice of pellets and it now also shoots JSB 25.39gr very good at 980 - 990 fps up to 100 meter. The JSB 33.95gr is a bit slower at around 850 fps but good as well up to 50 meter but did not test at 100 meter yet. I still need to make a new hammer and I am sure it will improve when the speed will increase after the new hammer.

Nice groupings
I have noticed that many are shooting these JTS at a much higher speed while staying accurate
I have tried FPS's under 900 for the JTS in a .22, but they did not group as well in the same conditions

I tried the Beasts at 960+ to 1050 fps .. performed inconsistently with a few moments of "can this work?" ..hope it's better for you
I recall reading that Justin Welch used them to win a PRS match ..not sure of settings, but the velocity was high
Mike Niksch has used them a a slower speed, but he's inhuman in the things he does(much respect)
Good Luck on your testing
Mike

I believe it is mostly about barrel harmonics and not so much about the speed a pellet like to travel. Like this JTS did not shoot good at 940 fps but do shoot good at 1020 fps. As soon as it leaves the barrel it is starting to slow down and somewhere it will reach that 940 fps and it is still traveling as stable as when it left the barrel. If the speed itself was causing it to be unstable, it will be unstable when slowing down to that speed, but it doesn't. I did a lot of things to stiffen the barrel and since then it shoots better at higher speeds.
