I can agree on that overall for the cost, quantity and distance you can shoot them accurately.

They are great! But limited range, and way too expensive, unless you get them while they have these half off deals.Ok.

@JaceSpace1369 I didn’t know price was a factor in the initial statement. I have no dog in the fight. I’m still stuck on Diabolo domed pellets. I haven’t given Hades or Polymags much work on hunts. I think I shot a fox squirrel with a Polymag short from my Prod and was not impressed. I’ve only shot Hades at paper from what I can remember.

They shoot amazing out of my Taipan Mutant to. Plus have same POI as regular JSB 15.89s out to 50 yards for me. Your vet shoot polys at all?

May or may not be part of the factor, for me when it comes down to choosing "hunting" pellets, performance, distance and price are the main important factors.

@JaceSpace In your line of work I imagine you go through quite a few pellets. I’d have to take your word for which is best for hunting iguanas. You hunt more than I do.

Whats your lead/lizard ratio these days? Have you ever worked out the stats?
Shots per foot of lizard would be fun.
Dollars of pellets in a month divided by pounds of lizard?
How much different would the ratio be with a less expensive pellet? Does the Hades change the lead/lizard equation?
My springer does not shoot them well. At this altitude they are only going about 560 fps. The trajectory is big. They probably perform well at higher speeds/ lower elevations.

These were my last groups with Polymags in the Vet and Mav. The Vet took 5 pellets to settle in and the Mav took 10 before showing accuracy.
I use mostly domed pellets for all around use . But with " hunting " designed pellets, the Hades give me the best accuracy at 50 so far .

Thanks.I might try them again for fun. I shot 3-4 out of my mute and the group was like 3/4” at 35 yards which isn’t great. Hades will do a 1/4” at that distance no problem. If im having a good day ofcourse

Used nothing but Hades in my Royale 500 for the last 5 or 6 years now. THE most accurate pellet for that gun whether plinking or hunting. Haven't had the same luck in my .22.

Hades is a great round in my Daystate Air Rangers until I upgraded to .218 25gr. H&N slugs.

The Maverick was my first and only fx and I'm happy with the power and accuracy. I shoot 25.3g AEA pellets at 47 fpe . I like that it's only running 108 bar and pushing 25.3s plenty fast because of the big plenum . My only upgrade is a heavier hammer and a DonnyFL moderator . Mine has a 600mm barrel and a 300cc tank and weighs 6lbs 11oz so it's light but longer than the Vet standard. It's not nearly as robust as the Vet but I have put thousands of rounds through it without any failures. I would choose the Vet if I could only keep one.
Here's the last group I shot at 50y . Not bragging but one reasons it will stay in my lineup.
I would stick with the Hades of FX Atomics. The Polymags are spendy and possibly not as accurate.

For me when using pellets, in .25 it's hades, in .22 it's Hades, but in .177 it has been barracuda hunters and hunter extremes, I've been able to reach out to 50yds with great groups in little to no wind and they still expand a lot.

I agree with the hades or atomics in .22 , .25 and 30. They are pretty terrible in .177 vs other jsb. .177 jsb KO is best bang for the buck, 10g or 13g either.
