Huben Huben gk1 rifle interest

Does anyone else love their gk1? I know I do!

I was posting to see I'd there is anyone else interested in building a rifle version of the gk1/k1?

I bought the k1 when I was waiting on my gk1 and I didn't care for my cheek being on top of the mag but it was a nice pcp. I see these sidewinders, rattlers, k1s, are all pups with right handed shooters in mind. I like the idea of having a rifle version so the action is in front on my face instead of on it, maybe even a fancy wood stock like the paradigm and a chassis version for the other crowd. Hopefully it will have an ambidextrous saftey 🤞.

Is there anyone else out there that would like to see something similar? Or is this too close to the leishy 2 for much interest?

Any additional ideas for the rifle build from the other forum members here?

P.s. if anyone is on the edge about getting a gk1, I strongly suggest you go over to Kelly's site and buy 1. She's a keeper for sure and Kelly has excellent customer service and is very responsive to questions.

The huben receiver was not necessarily designed to support the weight of the reservoir. It actually appears to have been designed to ‘hang’ from an otherwise supported barrel and to an extent ‘float’ the reservoir. If the reservoir was able to thread to the receiver, I believe it would be an improvement that would strengthen the structure of the design.

This is only my opinion of the platform. I really like the valve design/operation but to be marketed to the public in rifle/carbine form, it needs to be beefed up to be an actual ‘receiver’.

Hell ya! Kelly said the gk1 was such a big seller it will allow huben to do more things they previously wouldnt have considered or couldn't have done. Since the gk1 came from someone building it 1st from their vision I thought maybe I should get some other people together and help with design ideas and maybe get some prototypes built and it might make it happen for real.

Kelly said he's swamped with the short conversions right now but when he slows up we are going to revisit this build. We are not the only 1s interested in something like this. I told him I'd post a couple threads and gauge interest levels and maybe get some ideas.

Keep em coming!

Mine still needs to be shortened. I’m using a k1 reservoir and just haven’t cut it down yet. It may very well end up in a wooden stock eventually.

Could we hear the specs on this conversion please. Like the caliber, preferred ammo, magazines/shots per fill, fps, pfe, etc. Thanks.

Several projects going on and this one has been a bit since getting it together. It is setup for slugs 34gr and up. I don’t remember maxing out but it had no issues getting into my preferred 850-950fps range. I have no idea on shot count because I’m seldom concerned with that and don’t remember testing that.

A side note though that for slugs, I use a knurled (sorta) slug that’s easy to load, stays put in mag, and is still snug in barrel once it makes the transition. Barrel alignment is a must with slugs. With this procedure, very good accuracy can be obtained. I shoot 50 yds and have been pleased.

Forgot to add, it’s a 22

I founs a 3D file for the Huben GK1 CF stock.
