HW/Weihrauch .20 Caliber HW77K

Hey Guys,
I may regret this, but I just ordered a Weihrauch 77K in .20 caliber at AoA :) .
It's a pre-order, so it may not arrive until next year; only out $25 until it's shipped.

I've had two HW77K's before and sold them:unsure:, but hoping the .20 caliber suits the platform better.
I will tune it to shoot 13.73 JSB's about 735/750 fps, so it will likely be pretty snappy.
From my past tuning, the HW77K's make a little more power than the HW95 and HW97 using the same spring.

I bought my first .20 in June, a ‘97 with walnut stock, and I’m a believer. It’s shooting JSB 13.73 around 720fps with a John in PA tune. I’ve owned maybe 6 or 8 .177 spring guns from Weihrauch and Air Arms and have never been able to shoot groups like I have with this one. I absolutely love it.

That may be the best looking walnut Weihrauch stock I've seen yet.🔥✅

Kirk. You won’t regret it. You’re going to love it. I ordered a HW77 .20 cal. about 2 months ago as well. Can’t wait. So looking forward for that .20 cal.
That 77 BayouSelf has, is to die for.
Here’s my 77’s

Top is Venum stock and tuned .22 cal.
Top lam .177 cal.
3+4 are .22 cal.
Bottom .25 cal. ( a favorite )
I’d be curious if ours come at the same time.
Nice buy, good luck. Crow

Yeah Crow,
I would buy the walnut in a heartbeat …. If offered by AoA🌈😉.

HW77's have almost the same-spec powerplant as the HW95, but as the fixed barrel 77 has a much shorter, more efficient transfer port than the breakbarrel guns, it should shoot faster, all else equal. It's also better suited to the higher power levels (within reason) thanks to its high mass.

A HW77K in .20 or .22 cal is the only Weihrauch I would be interested in anymore, but it would have to have the old-style stock that actually works with open sights (and looks massively better, too). Thinner than thin pickings, from where I'm looking.

Where did you buy that from?

I have a 77 long .22 . I am thinking i would like the shot cycle better in say 10 to 11 FPE .
Maybe if its a 25mm gun. 26mm guns can get slouchy that slow. 22s already shoot smoother than 177 or 20. When done right a 22 cal 77 should shoot like a puppy dog anywhere between 13-15.

77 and 97 have the same guts, bore and stroke. If you get more from a 77 than a 97 its from some idiosyncrasy.

The 95 stroke is 4mm longer which should net more power. If the TP is less efficient as Tox says that could eat up the additional stroke.
Yeah Ron,
Not sure why, but my past two HW77's in .177 caliber shot 7.87's JSB's at 920 fps or 14.75 fpe with ARH Hornet springs.
My HW95 in .177 caliber shot (most accurate pellet) 7.9 CP at 880 fps or 13.6 fpe with the same spring. The HW77's didn't like CP pellets.

This was the only data I had when comparing ...................
