N/A PCP with Swappable Bottles/Reservoir

Hey been a while since I've last posted. I asked this question years ago but not sure if things have changed.

I saw the newly released Umarex Komplete. I really like the idea of being able to take the gun and a couple cylinders out to go shooting without having to bring a handpump, compressor, and/or bottle supply. However, I'm not 100% bought into the whole N2 cartridge. I'm worried that Umarex will be the only company with these N2 cartridge guns and then they stop making them and bam.... the Komplete turns into a paperweight. On the other hand, if it does well in the market, I'm sure Crosman will release N2 Cartridges which will help drive down the price of the N2 cartridges and there will be more of these guns on the market.... given these would not be for the enthusiasts with the FX Impact M4's. anyways.... getting off topic.

Is there any air rifles out there that have swappable air cylinders/bottles on the fly? Or ones that can be modified for being able to swap the bottles? Like for instance... would the Umarex Gaunlet 2 bottle accept one of those inline on/off valves that is super low profile and you twist to turn on/off. Then you'd just have to shoot the air out of the plenum and then you'd be able to swap bottles.

Airforce Rifles have the spin lock Tanks and does just what you say. Just carry an extra bottle with you. Ther may be others as well.

The Kral dazzle has a similar setup as well, and the 1st edition M60B from snowpeak was a spin lock setup.

My M3 came valved from the factory. Not sure about the earlier impacts.

not a rifle but I have a hatsan velox, I just had to have another pistol.. it seems like a decent gun but honestly I am not fond of the swapping air tanks.. it just is hard to unscrew under pressure and I am always worried that something will not go right and the air tube will be the next projectile.. honestly I do it outside and pointed in a direction that I probably won't find it if it flies.. but not a problem so far..I pretty much just refill it when it gets low, just because of my fear of the pressure.

for the less expensive guns:

i know that the AEA megalodon has been advertised as having a hot-swap-able tank, but no clue if one can get extra bottles.

also the SNOWPEAK M60B has that (in the models, that come without fill port), but the bottle adapters might be really hard to get(?), but at least they have threads that suit standard bottles.

unfortunately, the adapters with a fill-port that airgun archery fun in canada sells are lacking the check valve (maybe just in the one that i got from there?), which is really a pity, although they have the inside treads for it. in my case i put the check valve from the old bottle adapter in the new one and it works. makes degassing the gun, less pressure wasteful.

IF i remember right the Umarex Komplete bottles are rather expensive and i don't remember if they are refillable , and you would need a Nitrogin set up which is expensive as i have looked into that .

Yeah... the Komplete uses disposable Nitrogen cartridges. You get about 40 shots off of each cartridge before you're below the regulator pressure of 1800 psi. I'd be more into the whole Nitrogen cartridge if say another manufacturer also made them (i.e. Crosman) and they also had a rifle that used the Nitrogen cartridges. Cause if this doesn't take off and they discontinue the nitrogen cartridge, this is basically going to turn the Komplete into a fancy paperweight. lol

Hm.... may need to look into the Hatsans. Good to know someone tried the on/off valve with the gauntlet.

I guess is the swappable bottles/cylinders/reservoirs really not that big of a deal? Seems like I'm the only one that seems to really want this feature....

Someone I was talking to at work was saying that if I'm worried about having to carry a lot of things... the Umarex Notos and a 1.1 L buddy bottle to charge it with may not be a bad idea. It'd be similar to carrying the the Umarex Komplete and a couple extra cylinders.
