Thanks for your thoughts. I try not to put too much weight onto the date personally as that gives those who attacked us power over us, however I do, every day, give my condolences to the fallen and their family.

My birthday used to be a special day. But when my (ex) wife woke me up screaming bloody murder on my birthday in 2001, the special part took a decided turn for the worse.

We had just left camp in northern NM after an elk hunt and heading home to SE NM. My hunting buddy called me once we had cell service and told me to turn the radio on.... What an unforgettable day and even worse, when we got home and got caught up on the happening. I think of where I was every year and won't ever forget that sad day.
