Just got back from visiting my friend who has a couple of ground squirrel permissions. We went to one and got about 20 but only recovered a few as most fell back into their burrows and were unrecoverable. Friend was shooting an FX Impact M3 Sniper .22 with NSA 24gr and I was using my RAW HMx .22 with NSA 17.5gr. Shots were from 40-100yds. The big one I took at 63yds. We used laser rangefinders. All shots were at a steep decline and I can tell you I am not used to shooting like that, my friend is pretty good at it since he lives up there also there was very little wind which helped immensely. Anyway, it was very fun to test my skills and stretch out my RAW's legs.
