Benjamin Bought a P-Rod Carbine

Wasn’t sure were to post this tbh 😂

Anyway I picked this up off a forum in the UK

It came with a Bob P stock, Donny FL mod adaptor and I’ve added a Cerato copy 3-9x32 scope with SportsMatch mounts 👍

Congratulations! Very nice. Where did you get the stock?

Thanks. It came with the Marauder, it was made by a guy called Bob Pattenden in the UK, sadly he only ships locally

I probably said this before but I like a 12.5” LOP as I can mostly shoot in summer and winter with the associated coats or without. Any longer for me, is unhandy. I collect other shooter's data/experience. All agree that they can shoot a bit too short stock but not shoot a too long stock. I had to learn to shoulder a shotgun by pushing it out away from the shoulder then into the pocket. Slower and less precise! Try shooting doves like that. Works as poorly on squirrels with an airgun! Adjust your LOP to proper length for YOU. Rant over, Be Well Brothers, Bandito.

I use both a Gen 2 mrod trigger on one gun, and a PROD trigger group on another custom mrod.....neither stock, both running 3-4 lbs of hammer spring so not much tension placed on either sear....I prefer the PROD trigger group over the Marauder trigger group, however I can see why one would prefer the marauder trigger, but the prod has the potential to be much lighter than the mrod. I have a little bit of custom work done to both trigger groups. Both set as two stage.

I tried a polish job and tuning the trigger, the first stage was always too heavy and short for my liking, I could tune it nicely as a single stage, but much prefer a 2 stage like all my other air rifles

I replaced the one spring that sits under the sear for the prod for a much lighter one that still is strong enough (barely) to reset the trigger, makes a huge difference. The 1st stage on the Maruader is much longer than the prod for sure.
