FWB An old FWB C6 getting new life breathing air.

Yesterday I had some spare time for tinkering, and an FWB C6 and a pile FWB spare parts laying around at a convenient reach. That ended up with a little modernization of the old C6. Switched out the co2-tank connection on the C6 with the equivalent air connection/regulator for a C55P. I turned the output pressure of the regulator down to 65 bars, did a little adjustment of the choke screw, and voila: A C6 that breaths air. :D

well, considering that were discontinued in 1993 it looks new but there is one thing Feinwerkbau never made a C6 they did make a C5

Oh well, they did make two versions of the C5 plus the C6. But the all-black C5 and the C6 are quite rare, and neither the all-black C5 nor the C6 shows up in the Blue book of air guns eighter. Maybe most of them never left Germany. The C6 is just a C5 with a widened magazine rail and a 6 shot magazine.
I have been shooting air pistols since the mid nineties, and I have never seen the all-black C5 myself, except for brochures from FWB. The C6 I own is one of two I know of, so there's not many of them around either. :) (y)

Drooollll. I love the old FWB co2 pistols. So much fun.

You ever need a place to store that one let me know. 😂
You're not the only one to like those old FWB pistols. Or old Steyrs as well. I have a few other brands also, like Walther, Diana, Hammerli and so on, but it's the FWB and Steyr pistols that tickles my interesset most. :D(y)

as you have you have done a wide search, and we have found nothing
if it were my pistol i would contact Feinwerkbau and see if you could get some history on the model 6, you could have as rare of pistol that is out there or something else
they are good people at the factory, and they would help you
but they have no parts diagrams or anything at their site

I have contacted FWB a lot of times up through the years, and they have always been helpful.
What they say about the C6 is that it is a short lived successor of the C5, before the C55 was introduced.
The only differences between the C5 and the C6 is the 5-shot verses 6-shot magazine, and the magazine rail/well/guide (or what the correct designation is) that is a few mm wider on the C6, to prevent the pellets from falling out of the wider 6-shot magazine. And the marking of course.
Even the user manual is the same, but it has the right S/N number stamped on it, so it is genuine.
