What springer did you shoot today?

We’ve had frost, bugs are done. All week sunny high 70’s low 80’s. Knock me out.
Got a chance to shoot at nite. R7. Such a deadly gun.

Back into the 97K today after many years without any refresh. I forgot what I had done last time. It's still has Ed Canoles original aluminum o-ring piston seal from long ago. A now discontinued JM QX4600 spring with 31 coils of .120 wire, and it still looks good. My guide set up that I made and spaced to max capacity. Cronied at 810 to 820 the other day with 8.48 pellets, thought it might be time to refresh the krytox and new oring. I'm thinking about putting bearing on the compression tube, possibly the piston and bluing the compression tube like I did on the prosport.

Either way everything will get inspected cleaned
and whatever else I decide. I have new springs, but really don't see why I should change at this point. Breech seal looks good. I would like to do something with the stock, but IDK on that one yet. Touch up any bluing spots..etc.

I’m envious of your skills!

Rain, rain, save the day. Out with a HW95 .20.View attachment 498610Made me feel sharp. Easily nailed bells through 1 inch hole at 47 yds. Love this gun. Can’t wait to give it a new spring. Crow
Was starting to think... welfare check. One gets used to your daily post.

None today, Went to dermatologist today and had a small skin cancer removed from the top of my head. They put it( piece removed) under a microscope while I was there and said they got all the cancerous cells. It was what is called a basal cell sarcoma, not the dangerous kind unless you leave it untreated . We had a couple of other things to do in that town and by the time we got back home the lidocaine was starting to wear off so it was/is throbbing a bit, not really painful, more annoying so I decided against trying the new HW95.

What spring do you plan on using?

I have some tnt and marconni ? and Vortek never put in yet.
I installed 13-14 Vortek springs sets 2 winters ago and really liked the results in all of them. One was a R9 .20, identical to the 95. It’s smoother, quieter and accurate, one of my keepers.
Probably the Marconi? for a change. Crow
