Hi all, I just wanted to know what you do when your FX bottle on the Impact has past the 5-year mark. Thanks.

To add to post #2, maybe tale a peak inside the tank to look for moisture or corrosion. You didn’t mention where your air comes from. If hand pumping or a compressor with no drier there’s a chance you have moisture. Obviously, safely depressurize your tank before removing valve.

If you taking well care of your gun and not hitting/banging nails with it .... I would not worry about expiration.

Sorry for not getting back earlier and thanks for all the replies. First off, this tank is in immaculate condition, and so is the gun. I only fill from an "Air Tanks of USA" Tank that is filled by a professional SCUBA Business Shop. I never took it apart, but the bottle is spotless.

I think most CF tanks have a 15year life span. Since I never max mine out, I'm sure it will out live me.

Depends on the tank. First Strike paintball bottles are good for life.... as long as they pass inspection.
All First Strike FS Tanks feature the UNISO tank certification. They have a never ending life span and are good for life! Hydro date on these tanks is 5 years so after every 5 years you will need to re-hydro your tank, but your tanks will never go bad! Standard Carbon Fiber tanks that are DOT or DOT/TC stamped have a life span of 15 years from production date and still need to be hydro tested after every 5 years. The First Strike FS tanks bring you the most value for your money.
