Are you saying there is a 1:16 twist rate liner now for FX Maverick 30 cal sniper? Not doubting you, just double checking. The question which caliber? Used to be required, but 1/16 will be the answer for now in all slug liners. Tomorrow?..idk
I doubt it'll hurt you, I want to say they make a higher twist now for the .30 but I can't find the data right now. I can tell you that in a 300BLK PB it's 1:6 for a 230gr at subsonic. I've got a 16 in my .22 Compact, it made a good difference. Are you saying there is a 1:16 twist rate liner now for FX Maverick 30 cal sniper? Not doubting you, just double checking.

I already have a 1:22 and a 1:18 for my 30 cal mav sniper, but playing with a 1:16 would be interesting -- I like to experiment. I only shoot slugs. I just now checked trenier and he only shows 1:18 for heavy 30 cal liner. Maybe the newer 1:16 heavy is only for 22 and 25. No problem though. The 1:18 works nicely for me, so I don't really need another liner. FX and their liner names -- jeeeez. Sadly, I'm getting used to FX and their goofy ways.I doubt it'll hurt you, I want to say they make a higher twist now for the .30 but I can't find the data right now.
