Finally Tried JTS Pellets

Yes, the JTS pellets are very consistant. I love the JTS .22 caliber.

However, I just bought a tin of the JTS .177 8.7’s. Very consistant, but very large head size. They maxed out my pellet gauge which goes to 4.55. I am guessing they are around 4.60mm?

I've had the same experience with the JTS pellets as opposed to the JSB pellets.
This really jacks up the JBS fan boys.

I think JSB has a quality control problem as I see a lot of complaints about it lately. In the USA I understand that there is no lot# on the tins. Here in SA they do have lot# on the tins but to get the same lot you found to shoot good is almost impossible. I also fount JTS to be better than JSB but H&N is my go-to pellet.

I have a few tins of the JTS 10.3s coming on the slow truck from Utah. The .22 22.x grain pellets and .30 45 grain pellets were both very good quality so I’m hopeful (as always) for these 10.3s. I hope they try making something closer to the 13.4s because two of my guns are very well tuned for those.

You are the cat's meow. I so much enjoy shooting with you.

No matter what caliber I bring to the range you always walk over and say "Here.....try these." I now have 4 tins of @degeesaman "Here try these".

I could come to the range with a 23.005703 caliber rifle and you would walk over and say " Here try these, none of my three 23.005703 rifles likes them."

I got a free tin of JTS’s from the vendor at the PACup a couple of weeks ago. 177/8.7. At first I didn’t think my gun liked them , for. some reason I couldn’t get them to group. Well, that changed today. We are getting some of the wind from Helen up in n central Ohio. I was advised to shoot in the wind, it,lol teach you a lot. Any way after a bit of scope adjustment these pellets are really nice. Decent groups for a windy day and were hitting my steel spinners consistently. I think I found a new alternate.

I have only tried the 10. 4 or is it 5,,,, anyway, i have run out so will have to order some more, and i am a slug whore.

I do have to dial my Two rifle wayyyyy back due to its 700 mm barrel and minimum reg pressure of 54 BAR ( Huma REG )
but it is possible for me to get them down below 900 fps at least, below 800 too but that is a struggle and consistent speeds are not so consistent.

But on a good day in regard to wind, i do not mind shooting 100 yards with those. ( aiming at a 2" target )

Consistency is what we all look for in a pellet ...JTS has outstanding consistency
They also like a higher speed, while remaing stable in flight
I do get a lilltle more fouling with the JTS compared to the JSB's.
When sorting the pellets by weight in 1/10 of a grain increments i get 2 piles with the JTS ...with JSB's, i get around 8 (TERRIBLE CONSISTENCY)
I still love the "Older" JSB pellets .. when their consistency was at the top of the market.
When they used to have the pellet head size and the die on the tins.
The people currently in charge of their quality control have lost sight of what is quality
Until that changes, i'll use the JTS and the AEA pellets because they are better

This discussion is similar to one thread a while ago regarding this same topic. Difference here is that there are less JSB "fanboys" (so far).
I take my shooting and the time associated with it VERY seriously. JSB pellets are not what they used to be. We are also being charged more for them. I'm shooting about 1200 pellets per week and have absolutely NO desire to sort them. I will say that JTS pellets have been really good to me and proven their higher quality in all my guns. No sorting, just straight out of the tin. I do realize that every gun will not provide the same results but seriously, I get the same positive results in all of my guns with JTS.
Daystate Redwolf Safari HP .25: High power 33.9 gn @ 936 fps = hole in hole / Medium power 29.6 gn @ 935 fps = hole in hole, both at 75 yds
JTS Airacuda Max .22: 18.1 gn @ 915 fps = hole in hole, at 50 yds
UX Notos 18.1 gn @ 695 fps = 1 ragged hole, at 50 yds

BTW, this is all with 5 mph wind or less.

I will say that JTS 14 and 16 gn pellets in .22 performed horribly for me. They were visibly poor in quality as well.

I've only shot the 22 caliber 18 grain in my Caiman. It likes the H&N 18s better but the JTS were as good as the JSB 18s. I shoot JSBs and FXs in my two 25 calibers but I shoot H&Ns in my one 177 and my three 22s. I think it pays to try them all, at least until you find a really good pellet for a gun.

Just start using the JTS 16Gr.
I was not pleased with the results at 50 meters with the AGN Vixen Long and the JSB 16 Grain.
The JTS perform much better.
Not al guns do great with it,then I take the H&N 15.
I will stop using the JSB because the problems.

Oh yeah they are harder for sure.
