hard wax pellets in the tin

am I the only one who puts a hard wax on the foam in my tins and about 1/2 full of pellets and roll around a bit to coat
I don't have any proof of improvement, but I don't remember when I last cleaned my barrels

I am NOT talking lemon Pledge or the BeesWax brand of spray,,, as I use Trewax or Collinite 476s

just curious,,, not saying ya need to do it,,, it is just my lazy way to wax the gun barrel
and it seems to be a good way to protect the barrel's interior

I'd think the wax build up in the barrel would catch up to ya eventually..

Then why not use a rag with wax and tumble well ( shoeshine action) ? You can do lots at a time or a full tins worth just put the waxing rag in a ziplock or something for the next batch . Just freshen up the wax ad needed time to time .

I have not noticed any build up and as far application, it is super easy to use the foam in the tin, just rub it in the wax can a little and put back into tin,, top and bottom foam,,,
storage of a baggie is a undesirable to me, where the tin has a masking tape label [waxed] and stores on the top of all the same unopened tins

I was just wondering if anyone has done this,, or am I a nut job in flyover country

I have used the wax for a barrel treatment, after it was thoroughly cleaned, but not as a lube on pellets

I have used Trewax for pellet lube (and keep it in a pellet tine) but have switched to the bicycle chain wax lube (Finish Line). Doing the same thing with the tin foam.
It works well.

I wax my barrels but not my pellets. So I don't know if it helps, but it shouldn't hurt. I'd think that any wax buildup shouldn't be a problem. Any excess should be blown out of the barrel pretty quickly, considering the pressure we're working with.

Like Revoman, I use Trewax on the barrels and bike chain wax on the pellets. Works great, at least for me.

Warm barrel, hot wax. The effect is completely mechanical in that the flaws, pours and burrs get a hard wax filling that keeps fouling to run away.

The best part is the ease of cleaning the bore. 1 clean patch is all it takes.

Tree wax is very hard so I don’t know how you get it to transfer to pellets without first warming or melting it?
