Results Meeker Sportsman Club Final N50 match of the outdoor season, Marion, OH

I guess what I am also pleased with is my third 248 card. I shot 2 or 3 sighters and was spot on the bull. Then I moved over to the first bull and I dropped my first shot into the 8 ring. Wow, what that does to your mind after just shooting a 250! I was able to block that shot out because it was history and I can’t fix what was and I could only focus on what is ahead. I then went on to shoot all tens on the next 24 bulls and with that accomplishment I am more pleased. I’m not bragging but merely pointing out how much of this game is mental which is so very important.

I think spending time on these forums we focus a lot on this gun, or this equipment or that new shiny do dad. Sure equipment is important but the more I practice the more I realize that the mental aspect is just as or possibly even more important factor that isn’t discussed enough.

Thank you to the 25 shooters who joined us today in our final N50 match of our 2024 outdoor season. We had the best weather we've had all year. Calm winds, comfortable temperatures and great friends to spend the day with. Thanks especially to AJ for coming through on the awesome weather forecast.

It takes many hands to pull off the event that we enjoyed today and I want to thank our ROs, Mark Clemons and Paul Haubert for keeping us safe and in line. Set up and tear down helpers, Craig Laird, Paul Haubert and Eric Fisher and probably others who I am forgetting. Diana Thomas, Missy Richards, Nancy Haubert, Joe Ketcham, Tim Swan and Joe Haubert for your help at the scoring table and running targets. And to the countless helpers sweeping up all the brass afterwards. I sure have appreciated all of your help throughout the season.

We had a spur of the moment, unplanned and optional 6 card match today. 12 Shooters stuck around to shoot the second match. The winds kicked up as per usual at Meeker but we still had fun.

A special congratulations to Nancy Haubert for shooting her first 250 today!

We also handed out wooden plaques to the 3 highest match aggregate scores, in each class, of the entire N50 “Ohio Series”:

Factory Class:
We had an exciting last minute shake up when Joe Ketcham came from 4th place to over take 1st place by the scores he turned in today.

1st, Diana Thomas, 2217-88X
2nd, Lani Leuthvillay, 2213-52X

Lani Leuthvillay and Bob Juengst weren't able to make it today so please let me know how I can get your award plaques to you?

You can also keep an eye on the your National Rankings to see where you placed against the rest of the N50 shooters across America:

Meeker's own Joe Ketcham and Bob Juengst are holding 4th and 5th places respectively in the Factory Class. That's pretty impressive guys!

Thanks again for putting up with me and Lord willing and the crick doesn't rise, I look forward to seeing y'all again next season sometime in April, 2025.
