"Airgun Warriors" site?

IIRC, Steve in CT. purchased the Yellow Forum from James Kitchings widow after his unfortunate demise, then after the YF evolved into Airgun Warriors, it was purchased by Steve in NC -

Pray for these storm victims, they need all the help they can get, God Bless them!
I was also wondering what was going on... hope everything turns out okay !

Thanks for the history. If Steve is in western NC that could explain a lot...again it's hard to wrap your head around the disaster there.

I grew up in Newport TN, near the NC state line. Downtown looked like this on Friday morning; the Pigeon River crested 6 feet above a record set in 1902. And Newport got off light compared to many more rural places...at least you can still drive there. 😳

AGW is run on the Wordpress platform. Just checked, and Wordpress is still up. So I doubt the hurricane is responsible, since WP is located in San Francisco. It also pings.

Likely a bug in one of the many files needed, a bad update (the bane of IT folks existence... ) or maybe they didnt pay their subscription fee......

IT is worth noting that the gentleman who oversaw the old Yellow forum's maigration to the AGW incarnation has passed away recently......

edit/addendum: some additional googling found a tech article: "The critical error in WordPress is generally caused by a malfunctioning plugin, script, or code that prevents WordPress from functioning correctly."

Hello, I'm the guy from the Crosman thread who made the statement that the AW sight was down. I don't know if it's temporary or forever. I've been both an Airgun Warriors and Airgun Nation member for quite a while. Initially, I liked chatting airguns more on Airgun Nation and selling primarily on Airgun Warriors. This was before all the scammers mind you. I have personally bought several rifles from Steve in CT, great guy. He, however is just the owner and does not manage the site. Someone else is the admin for the site layout. I do hope all is well and things will be resolved. But, I do agree that the site has gotten over run with the unfortunate scam stuff. Just wanted to clarify that I do know the site is down but unsure of the duration.

I haven't been able to open the AGW site for several days now, does anyone know what's going on?

I don't know where the site is based, but I wonder if they perhaps fell victim to hurricane Helene? I live in east Tennessee and the devastation here and in western North Carolina is unbelievable.
I have been wondering the same thing myself. 🤔
