Had a great time at EBR
Made a lot of mistakes, like setting a wind flag too high that it covered my row of sighters on my 75 yard target
Also double shot a target, and went off regulator because i didn't fill before the match.
i guess the nerves got to me and you just forget some things.

I tried to take some pictures, but got too busy with the set up.
A BIG THANK YOU to AOA for the event!!
Everything was run efficiently.

We did have something i haven't seen before...A BIG Dust Devil, about as wide as a car and taller than the buildings, swept through the range knocking down wind flags abd blowing the targets out of their stands! ..it was quite a sight!

I watched Justin Welch do a speed shoot for his 75 yard targets..he finished his 1st taget in 2:30...then took another minute to shoot his sighters.
He shot his 2nd target in 2 minutes...then shot his sighters...lol ..so less than 5 minutes for both rounds

Jeff Hernandez shooting was incredible to watch..very skilled at choosing his shots in the wind conditions
Mike Bricker was down -8 on his 1st two rows on the qualifiers, and then procedded to bang out all 10's for the rest of the card..Great shooting!
Thane was also fun to watch...his panda was super quiet as well as accurate..counld't hear the shots

The people there were super nice and engaging.
Meet a lot of new friends from South Africa, Lithuania and Chile...it's the people that make the event worth going and repeating.

I learned a lot from the experience..of what to do...and not to do ..i hope when i go again, i can improve on the scores and see the friends i made this weekend

i would like to read more reports like this . The experience gained . nice read .

Seems as though they just don’t post much about the big shoots lately. I don’t follow or care as much as I used too, same people winning and.

Yeah, thanks alot. I'm planning to attend some eastern matches next year for the first time. I like to hear people's experiences and what not to do.

I think one of the most important i have learned is not to talk near a shooter or someone setting up to shoot (unless they talk to you ) back off a respectable distance and still talk softly . A shooter can be getting mentally prepared during set up or a time before actually shooting .

Aiming at the bull is an over simplification and mostly incorrect because you rarely get to aim (at) the bull due to wind hold offs. Reading the wind is what separates the men from the boys. Someone once told me to never ever practice shooting without using wind flags and that is sound advice that has paid off at least for me.

Funny thing is for real,I shoot 235s in my back yard not really reading the wind. Sorry,I couldn't resist. See you next year on the east side of usa.
That’s great. I’d love to show up at a competition knowing in advance I was going to win. 😳

Out of the 30 Pro finalist most of the best 100Y pellet BR shooters in the world only ONE hit 235. You must be super talented. Can’t wait to see you at one of these events…

My set up is that good. I've found way to shoot heavy pellets very fast that don't drift alot. It's accurate to. Unless wind is 10mph I can hold edge 8ring and hit either 9or ten. I just aim center unless I see my flag is straight horizonal, then I adjust to edge of 8. With pellets not drifting6 and 8 inches do to wind,I'm able to hit centers. I have some more targets ordered, and pellets coming. This one I'll video. I can say the 235 I shot it was not really windy, but not dead calm either. Each time I shoot ,I get better at it.

Your not listening,I shoot my sighter, get my zero, start shooting till I'm close to 8 ring, then shoot another sighter and adjust, shoot till I'm close to 8 ring,my fliers are going no farther than 7 ring, clock makes no difference. I'll be done shooting in 3 minutes depending conditions staying steady, once my barrel is heated,I have to keeping shooting every 15 seconds to keep gun to full potentials accuracy. I set up at home like anywhere else,if the winds not over ten mph, then I can keep every shoot inside the 8 ring hitting mostly 9s and 10s. If my pellets clips the green on the ten ring then I been counting that as a ten. Maybe I'm doing it wrong not going from center of pellets. Paper tore does not count, but I been counting it if it hits the green on ten ring. I get what your saying, but I tell you it's my set up that doing the preforming,I'm no special shooter or wind reader. My set up is special. Here's a complete mag at 100 yards in the wind. The pellet out side the group was a gust of wind. That's my drift.8mph wind on this group. That's 28 shoots of 30 cal8ber pellets at 100 yards on a windy day with no adjustment for the wind. I got my barrel hot,sl8d a mag in and shoot soon as reg refreashed, about every 15 seconds.
