Airgun Technologies Vulcan 3 HP (high power) .30

If you shoot with HP you have to use heavy slugs... the 2.2 gram are shot with supersonic speed and there is a big bang :)
If you shoot subsonic - the rifle is very quiet...

And unfortunately i can not ship to Finland :(
thank you.

what is the max. length of projectile that fits into the magazine of the HP in .30?

a shame that you cannot ship to finland. just out of curiosity, why is that?

Have any of you shot 44 or 50 pellets in your Vulcan3? If so, how accurate do they shoot at 100M? Is the HS and reg externally adjustable on these guns or does it require disassembly to access them?
I have a compact v3 in .30 and in the past I have owned a 700mm version as well. Both shoot/shot 30 caliber pellets very well. I never really shot out to 100 but to 70-75 yards they were excellent. If all you are shooting is pellets the compact version is plenty powerful enough. 78-80 ft /lbs right out of the box. The compact version comes in a lower power small plenum configuration so it’s capable of even more.

^ Thanks for your input @shaman and @Trucker3573 ^

I was more concerned with the barrel's twist rate and lack of choke since most unchoked barrels with higher twist rates often times spin pellets too fast. It seems more of the unchoked barrels are leaning towards shootings slugs, even though the manufacturer says it will shoot both. It seems like that is more of a compromise statement instead of building a rifle with intentions of shooting one better than the other.

based on my knowledge the HP is a dedicated slug gun, no?
i got it for that purpose at least.

Today at 52 yards with fx 44 gr. Stock needs to come off to adjust hammer spring. The gun has to come apart to adjust the regulator.

With an aftermarket reg set to 190 bar and a custom hammer setup, my V3 is shooting 62.5 grainers at 985 fps with room to go up. My last setup I was shooting 62 grain varmint knockers @ 1,000 fps.this is already 135 and 140 fpe respectively. I guess the upside is you don’t have to buy a custom extra high pressure regulator from Huma like I did. See the regular regulators in AGT rifles usually get wonky after going above around 170 bar. My regulator can handle pressures of up to 225 bar comfortably, although in my own testing with a separate prototype two piece regulator I found that after about 200/205 bar you start to see diminishing results. Anyway if someone could explain the difference between the standard and hp versions I’d appreciate it
***Follow up edit I read the specs and have seen the rifle.
What aftermarket reg are you using? I'm shooting 62.5gn @ 945 (124 ft lbs) and that's with stock reg at 188 bar. Just set that today, gonna shoot a bit more tomorrow with it se how it groups at 100 yards but who make a higher pressure reg for the Vulcan 3?

Huma made me a custom one. It can handle pressure up to around 210/225 bar. I’ve worked with them in the past on prototype regulators. This is just a custom job. If you’re interested in one let me know. I’ll see if Marc will make one for you as well.

I would be interested. I am curious though with the higher pressures have you had any other seal/o-ring failures because of it?

Zero. On two different builds. Not a single oring fail. Only oring I’ve ever seen damage on was on the reg from pulling against those threads so much tuning. Other than that I’ve had many AGT rifles. No failures with factory or high power settings.

here's some numbers of today's shooting with the VULCAN 3HP .30
with stock regulator and hammer spring settings and shot from bench with a cheapo bipod and no back-bag.
i have used 4 different kinds of slugs, the H&N ones were .301cal and the ZAN and KINGPB ones stated to be .30cal,
but the later ones were actually causing a bit more resistance when loading to the barrel.
below the chronograph numbers, unfortunately the accu crapped out at shot 17 (i wrote SIGHT on the paper, but it was actualy a twitched flyer!).
not even 2 mags measured. =(

you do the math.

i''m interested in this as well, as a response from AGT they have send me the standard manual of the previous version V3, which states that the 500 and 700 and 700 HP are the same and therefore have the same manual.
so far the most informative i could find is this uuutube clip:

ps, what kind of regulator did you get from huma? looks like they only have one, that does not go as high as yours.
That regulator sure looks a lot more robust than the stock reg .

Got a Vulcan 3 hp 30 caliber from Talon tunes a couple weeks ago and been doing a little tinkering and here are results to anyone of interest. Gun came from Talon tunes shooting 62.5 avs slugs at 980 fps I turned the regulator up just over a quarter turn which according to when it drops off reg is around 220 bar.Hammer spring all the way in backed out half a turn shooting 62.5gr avs at 1055fps,11/2 turns out 1030fps and 21/2turns out 1015fps.14 shots before falling off the reg at 1055fps,22 shots before falling off reg at 1015 groups where one hole at all settings. Shot JSB Hades at 1140fps actually good groups at that speed but very loud.
