Having no experience with PCP air rifles and a penchant for questionable impulse buys I picked up a Notos and a compressor a couple of months ago. Thankfully it panned out because I've had a ridiculous amount of fun with this little air rifle! I had intended to modify the heck out of it, but aside from boring the air transfer port to 3.6mm I've decided I like it the way it is and will keep it as my light and fun plinker. (If anyone's got a line on some barrel O-rings that don't cost 15 bucks for 2 that'd be awesome).

Alas im a "shoot tiny groups at far distances" guy at heart and an avid squirrel hunter. While I love the Notos I understand it has its limitations. Unfortunately I have analysis paralysis in the sea of mid range to high end rifles that all seem to shoot sub moa on youtube. I'm currently in a position where the mid range is attractive for the savings but I'm afraid to lose the barrel lottery, and frankly parts availability concerns me. Meanwhile spending $1600 on a nice rifle is a chunk of change and I don't want to be afraid to drag the thing around the woods with me.

So what are your thoughts and experiences? Send it? Or buy a mid range gun and work my way into it?

patience is a virtue, unfortunately its not my strong suit lol. But thank you for the recommendation, ill do some poking around the classifieds!

Thank you for the suggestions and the O-ring hookup Fire! My guess is i haven't met the DM threshold yet, but as soon as I do Ill PM you. The Notos is still running relatively well despite the chewed up barrel O-rings, I am starting to see some pretty heavy FPS swings on occasion though.

Spread of a whopping 8 fps, that rifle is nuts! And good shooting on the squirrels! I wont get a shot at a squirrel outside of 30 in these woods but obviously i would not have an issue with knockdown power!

If you have big hands, stay away from Vulcan 3. The only practical way to have a larger grip is to invest on a TT chassis and it will set you back about 500 dollares.
And then there's the lack of usable gun case. That's a hundred dollars.

Other than that, I recommend these technical marvels also considered as high end air rifles (although these V3's are a bargain). I also have an extensively modified Artemis/SPA and it will never seize to challenge Me. Many sleepless nights and almost a thousands euros later it shoots, but no-one in their right mind would pay more to 300 euros for it in its current state so money down the drain.

If the was ever a guy the built the “average“ around it’s me! lol. Thankfully most things designed to fit most people fit me just fine.

Totally understand purchasing something good and trying to make it great with some frustrating outcomes. I’ve been down that road with many hobbies trying to be thrifty. im going to do it the right way the first time on air rifles lol.

The chassis RAW are light weight in full size. There is mini in chassis or stocked models too. The new actions are ambi also. I will say this about AGT , the grip on the Uragan is the grip I've wanted my entire life. Perfect it is.
