Help with getting into Benhrest shooting

Hey Gents,

I just got into PCP and picked up a new M4 .30 in the 700mm barrel in the idea that i want to start practicing and in the future try a competition. With that said I am having trouble findings the rules and also what distance is the standard…. I guess the few questions would be:

1. Where can I find rules etc
2. are their specific targets sheets they use or where can i find or buy some
3. Are the distances the same at each match i can shoot out to 120 yards at my place
4. Any other advice im all ears

Thanks in advance

Hello @shrive81 and welcome to the fun and challenging world of BR airgun shooting. There are two main distances for airgun BR shooting, 50Y and 100Y, here in the US. I am more familiar with National 50 rules and they can be found here:

You can easily find clubs in your area who shoot N50 matches and upcoming matches by looking at these pages:

100Y events follow similar rules and can be found on AOA and Utah Airguns websites. The big national events typically have Sportsman and Pro classes. N50 has a few more classes to choose from and also allow 22LR rimfire to compete in the same events.

My thought is: Find a local match to you. The closer the match is to your home location, the more likely you will be there practicing and competing. Every match I have been to, there is a rangemaster, they can answer your questions and guide you. I shoot N50, there are clubs in several states. https://www.national50.net/
