Air Venturi Avenge x reg pressure not consistent

When I fill up my Avenge X to 4000psi/300bar the reg (factory setting) creeps up just above 2000-2100 psi. After 10-20 shots it lowers itself to around 1800psi. Is this normal or is there something wrong with the reg pressure system? Also I have a hard time grouping my shots well when shooting 40+ meters. Shooting Crossman Domed Ultra Magnum 10.5gr

Regs can creep. My Aveng x 177 creeps about 20bar when setting. It goes to normal after a first shot. Your might need shot in some more. I would try different pellets. Each gun has its preference on pellets and you have to test to see

I have tried several pellet types. They all do it. And it seems to like the Crossmanns. What is your preferred pellet?

About 10 bars (145psi) is normal over night. My fx impact is a 2k gun and it would change about 10 bars if i leave it for few hours. If more than 10 bar I would re-seal the reg. Meaning replacing all o-rings on it. Or replace the reg itself.

Man I'm shooting off the high port, reg is about 1500 psi And mine likes air arms 10.3. I'm only shooting about 18 1/2 foot pounds
