Hey Tony...I'll come out to your place for a 50y BR match. I'll shoot off a bipod and bag. You can shoot off your "sled" if you want. Matter of fact I would prefer you shot off your "sled" as that will illustrate the point of this thread the best.

If I lose I'll write up a big thread here letting everyone know what happened. If I win....you are gonna pay all my expenses for coming out there and you will write up a thread detailing the event.

How's that sound?

No need to send money. i have plenty. But im deff down for a shoot out. Ill inbox you and we can Iron out details This will be a good time for the both of us. And i will happily pay expences when or if i loose.

If your nephew can engineer that set up, and it makes the game fun for him, there are no rules against it. We would all enjoy seeing something like this on the line.

How about just showing up in August (N50 Nationals)? I'll pay your entry fee. Mike will be there, you can be there, and I can witness it in person, plus you'll have an audience. :)

Well, I'm back from my short stint over at the Stitch-In-Time forums. Out of respect for the craft, I took some time to educate myself on the language and one of the things I learned is they blend the words sewing and artist into a "sewist" portmanteau.

Armed with this knowledge I dove off into the Machine Embroidery subforum and proceeded to explain to the membership how it's not real embroidery because it takes the human element out of it, and anyone who uses a machine to embroider is not a real sewist. Predictably, this assertion was met with great resistance but I was nevertheless shocked when they banned me before I even had the opportunity to lay the hand stitching challenge before them.

I had hoped to deliver better news, and I struggle to find the words to properly express my disappointment.

I compete just for fun, but I’m mainly competed against myself. I was at match this weekand shot a card that scored 250 with 19x’s. I was super happy and it’s a great card unfortunately it was only good enough for 6th place. Great card. Just makes me want to do better in the next match.

A 250 19x is competitive in any arena. You were amongst some fine marksmen at that event.

I’ve been shooting competitively for over a decade now, and work full time in the firearms training industry.

The people that fixate on gear are always subpar shooters. Having a Red Panda or FX won’t win you a match. Having a “sled” won’t win you a match.

Whether it’s USPSA, IDPA, BR, PRS, etc. the top shooters will win with anything.

Stop bitching and practice.
