Flip the airtube from plenum side to air side.

Install the depinger.

Based on the articles I've read the only way to really get rid of the ping is to turn the tube around. Even with the depinger which many if not most Vulcan 3s have, it does little to no difference when it's in the full power side. The only people who I've read not having the ping issue from are those not using the vulcan with the tube on high power side. My gun has an intact depinger and it made no difference. I swapped it over to my buddy who doesn't mind the ping.

My Vulcan 3 .30 came with full power setting and factory installed depinger, loud twang when fired. Been told depinger only works in lower power mode. Picture came with V3 Manual showing depinger install. Manual also depicts changeover from high to low power configuration. WM
