What grain are those pellets?Still testing, but thr Baracuda Match grade pellets seem to be the best. So far.
Griffin makes 17gr slugs, @RabbitofCaerbannog has had a lot of good results even with low velocity. Varmint Knockers work very well as low velocities as well but the lighest he makes are 22grGentlemen,
Any idea what isthe best slug for the Benjamin Kratos in 22 might be?
Yes. The 17 have been excellent for me. The 19s aren't shabby either. This belief that slugs need to be travelling at light speed to stabilize is crap.Griffin makes 17gr slugs, @RabbitofCaerbannog has had a lot of good results even with low velocity. Amen. Wish more people would understand this. Unfortunately what they hear is etched into the brain. Thinking otherwise is blasphemy lol.Yes. The 17 have been excellent for me. The 19s aren't shabby either. This belief that slugs need to be travelling at light speed to stabilize is crap.
I shot some 28.5 Varmint knockers Jace sent me as slow as 583 last night and they held tight. As long as they're stabilized by the spin they'll do what you want.
I shoot a .25 dreamline and shoot 30 and 32 grain slugs as slow as 840fps and they perform just fine.
In fact, I've found they both group tighter between 860 and 885 than they do at 950 and 920
