Hydra Airgun Pellet Machine installed in the USA

I hope that in the future there will be more producers of AG ammunition because competition is a good thing and at the same time that the prices will be more appropriate and acceptable for consumers. I see that there is another company in Turkey that produces a similar machine, but besides it they have machines for casting lead logs as well as extrusion of lead wire. Something is tickling me to start producing AG ammunition.

I have low confidence of this being anywhere near the Czech or the Europeans, more of Crosman premiers or worst. Ive worked with the Turkish companies, its all show and no go. Ive seen them investing more in creating video content but not in the technology side of things (Usually Chinese parts) Their biggest issue is that they cant recreate the same machine again or its components so long term reliability is a big Question mark.

I think it's the mentality and mind set of those in charge to produce the quality. For example there are quite a few Chinese factories producing junk and some producing top quality items.

I guess we'll find out later as this new machine's parts wear down?!

"Now the thing is did NSA choose a design "as good as, or more capable" of the best precision of current pellets on the market."
Pretty sure that Nick is on top of things like that, although they might shoot perfectly in his air gun, but not in some others. It's bound ot happen.

I’m of the firm opinion that copying the most generally successful design and making a truly high quality product will be steps ahead of current offerings.

As a machinery designer myself the consistency and quality of the machine will take a little time to play out. Are the bearings suitable, does it have adequate rigidity where it counts, are wear items easily replaced, is the tooling dead consistent, etc.

One gigantic IF here......if this is NSA...

Nick and the gang @ NSA have a pretty solid track record of putting out good slugs at a good price. Can't imagine they'd compromise on their hard earned reputation for any reason, even pellets.

What makes me most excited about this is my opinion of past trends of NSA pricing. Seems he prices slugs with the mentality of smaller profit margins made up for by volume of sales, achieving this by keeping prices competitive. The opposite of course is selling fewer units but at higher markups. Hopefully he keeps the same mentality for pellets, again IF this is indeed NSA.

Or, selling 10 widgets @ cost + 10% can be more profitable than selling 2 widgets @ cost + 80% markup.

Nick seems to lean towards the, sell in greater volumes but at less markup, mentality.
