here's 6 5-shot groups on 50m with the VULCAN 3 HP .30 with one fill and factory reg and HS settings from a bench with a cheap bipod and no back-bag.
chronograph numbers in the pictures below.

to my surprize, the best group (but only by a mm) was the 3rd with the super cheap low quality hand-knurled KINGPB-82 brand 63gr slugs i got form a special offer at Krale. (i also adjusted the scope for this group, based on the results of the 2 previous groups.)

i wanted to find out how the lighter 54gr vs. the 63gr and 68gr are, since i am looking for a slug mold. i would very much like to try out the

NOE 300-68-FN-BI3 4 Cavity RG4 BT slugs and get one of the molds, but they are sold out. (looking for one in the classifieds!) i think they will be the better choice for long distances from what i've read here.

Have you slugged your barrel yet? None of these slugs are .3063 which is what these AGT 30 barrels nomally prefer. AVS sells them and they are by far the most accurate for this gun

no, i have not. do you mean to measure the actual diameter? can't do that since i do not have a micrometer.

thank you, i know about the .3063 AVS slugs, but i am in the euro sector and they are hard to get here. also i want to to cast my own for several reasons.

Well a set lf digital steel calipers aren't priced too badly, and it's better than buying different kinds of ammo. If you can find a way to get a bag of his ammo shipped to you so you can see what you would need would likely help out a lot.

My (1/23, Krale) V3 .30 (non-HP) found good AVS .3063 accuracy, but excessive force to load. Subsequent cleaning revealed considerable lead shavings, as well. Seeking alternative, purchased ZAN's Slug Assortment, 45.5 to 68 grain, plus, ZAN's .301 slugs in 51 and 61 grain. ZAN's 54 and 59 grain were most accurate. Subsequent testing of Wildman, Javelin and NSA slugs, in 59-62 grain range, found NSA .300 61.5 grain a top performer in both V3 and U2. WM

Slug it and send it to me. I will measure it for you. I'm OCD with these types of measurements. 😅
