Big shout out to Rich @ AR. Told him I wanted a long m457 tube, depinger and the new DonnyFL. 257 Ronin. With 75 gr she will hit 145 fpe as advertised. Now, when the rain stop we can have fun.

@shambozzie How many decent shots do you get per fill shooting the 68 grain Griffins? The 76 grain? Have you IDed the sweet spot in your reservoir pressure?

This is basis test 3000 fill, 2000 end. Ave 100 psi per shot. Aim spot the same. Could raise aim point .5 mil for second mag and it would cover first mag with the 76 4s. Sweet spot between 2800/2900. I have a blue spring from org bulldog I want to try. Hooking up to reg next.

@shambozzie So two mags per fill using 100psi per shot shooting from 3000 to 2000 psi. Seems consistent with the Bulldog .357 with 81 grain pellets to 110 grain slugs. The drop in POI after the first mag also seems consistent albeit I never measured and averaged the drop. Thanks for sharing. What would you say the sweet spot is, 3000-2500 psi range?

My buddy sending me some arsenal 257420 70 gr with a bc of 160. The 76 4s nose Griffin has a whopping 234 bc. Big hopes for these guys going long.

Those are some good grouping with the 76 grain S4 nose! I've always been a fan of the S4 RBT swaged slugs. Stretching them out to long ranges with a good tune looks like they will be super accurate.

M257 update. Had to move targets around due to 257 power. Cleaned bbl really good. Also cleaned 68 hpbt slugs and a slight coat of 10w syn oil. Velocity now 950 fps ave for 5 shots. Gun/hammer spring breaking in. Although the m257 is not a benchrest gun, it is cold hearted killer. A golf ball is 1.6" in diameter and I hate shooting paper. I like movement upon impact. 5 shots and 5 kills on balls. Could be under an inch. We'll over 100 fpe and accuracy. Very nice 36 " Thumper minus moderator.
